RB Concept Engine Thread..

guys, I was wondering if anyone knew if their is a performance difference between the l2g cooling head and the older style. I would think that the older one would cool better but im sure that RB would know better than me. If you have any info I would love to hear!!

Something else I seen today was the new B.9 has all the same part numbers except the pin that holds the carb in and the front bearing as my C6BBII, and of course the head, different paint job. Does anyone know when these new engines will be out to buy????

Hey guys, I'm trying to rebuild an RB WS7II and I'm having a hard time finding a piston/sleeve/conrod for it. I have part numbers but it's sold out at every store. Anyone know where I can get a hold of this rebuild kit?
Are there any other sleeve/pistons from another engine that fit with little to no mods? Thanks.
Junier.

L2G head lowers the center gravity of the engine, more car performance, I noticed a big difference turning with the that head on my RB compared to my V-spec. As far as heat, my RB runs 30degs cooler than any of my V-specs ever did. So I dont know if its the engine design or the head. Getting rid of the engine heat has a lot to do with the body too.

Well I have never ran a 3, but my Jammin with a Jammin Body and my racing buddy's Losi's 8B and 8T with JConcept bodies, all have C6 engines and run around 200 unless the humidity is really high and then they run about 220.
Rule of thumb is how it sounds, runs, and a steady stream of smoke out the pipe, we always tune it that first and then temp and make sure its not running to hot. The problem with temping engines is you can use 12 different temp guns on the same engine and get 30degs of different readings. So I guess what I am trying to say is dont tune to temp, tune to performance and steady smoke, and check your tune with a temp gun.

I agree with that 100%. I planned to do that this spring. I was running a 086 dynamite pipe so i'm wondering if that is why it seemed to be hotter. I have a RB 2045 with 98mm header. Im hoping this combination will be the right combo.

Hello JPMSRacing,
I work at my local hobbyshop and I placed a order for a C6 USA for a customer last week 3/19/09 with the fellow distributing RB's in the US. He said it was in stock. We recently became a authorized dealer with him. I will get back to you on this thread if and when we get it and a price of what they are going for.

I guess I should have thrown that in too. All our C6 have JP3 pipes on them. My buddy has a 2045, have to ask him again, but if I remember right he bought it at TX at RC Pro finals because it had more top end and less bottom than the JP3, but most of the tracks around here are tight tracks with lots of turns and jumps.

Hey Guys,
I havent been known to run alot of RB engines, but I got one last year and messed it up, so I decided to rebuild it to have a practice motor and I have to tell you I ran the new losi re11 pipe on the ws7 and holy chit thats a good combo, I think I ran an 086 and a jp-3 on it before and the re11 is a TON better. after break in still running fat went 10:45 in an mp-9.
anyway just food for thought
