Thank you. What is a good bearing to use? On a pretty tight budget. The rear bearing sound and feels really gritty.

Stay as far away from Go engines as possible and all it's branches.

Having a puzzling issue with the Reedy. Yesterday I tuned the lsn to what felt right and the hsn was set a bit rich for the day, I went on track and did probably 6 or 7 laps and it was at 325 F Not good, obviously.

So in a roundabout way, is it possible the lsn was too lean and causing the engine to overheat? I'm kinda sure it wasn't the high speed being lean 'cause I was around 4 turns out from bottom, I'm just out of ideas on what it could be.

TKO or stock. Spend the little extra on the ceramics

Check to see if the HSN is working its was out, I had this problem with mine. Also check for airleaks, tubing, tank etc. This can also make the engine lean out and run higher temps. Or if something is binding and causing the engine to work harder, brakes, diffs, bearings, cvds, etc.

On the wrong type of track a lean LSN and rich HSN will cause the motor to run that hot. Depending on your climate start around flush on the LSN and about 2.5 turns out from closed on the HSN.

That's what I thought, thanks for the insight.

Since I've reviewed this engine, I still loving it. It runs strong and idles like a charm. Coupled to the 2039 tuned pipe, I have good RPMs and smooth power band.

i was looking into getting new bearings, and wanted ceramics but i couldn't get a straight answer. because on the tko site it said that their bearings
were not for use in the reedy. so i just got another set of stock bearings.

Rear Ceramic from AE/Reedy. Check this out.

Boca website says they have a set. Has anyone used it?
