Thank you

Yes run an OFNA carb boot. Its a tighter fit but it works. I had to put one on mine before a fellow racer sent me a trinity one. The OFNA worked perfect though.

I will get you a link in just a second.

Here you go. I used this one. The smaller hole is smaller than the trinity one but it works. I used this on mine.

I was told when looking for a rod for a Sirio EVO 4 that the Trinity rod will work fine.. SO I would assume the opposite to be true. The CL7B and Evo4 use the same rod.. WERKS Rod will NOT work.. Crank pin is smaller..

Anyone taking advantage of A-Mains discounts on the Trinity Engines?? Think I'm gonna pick one up for my D8 buggy.. I luv the .24 in my D8T...

They're not too bad of a deal at A-Main.
I was in contact with Trinity and they did get some parts in
They are waiting for the rest. Seems that Sirio had some sort of delay getting parts out and they are slowly comming in.

Does anybody know what are the stock settings are on the carb for the trinity .21

Ramirez24 03-27-2010 05:23 PM

Trinity Extech .21
Rich setting HSN (Flush with housing 3/4 turn out) LSN (Flush with housing).
Tuned setting HSN (Flush with housing) LSN (Flush then 1/2 turn in).
Tuned idle screw setting (With slide closed, turn idle screw 1 turn in.)

Note: Always tune from the Low speed needle first

I disagree with the tuning order, because the Low speed is effected by the High needle.. Leanin Low needle then leaning high can caus ea lean condition on the Low side.. But, to each his own..

I have a .21 full mod coming Monday, what kind of run time are you all getting in a buggy? I'm hopin for 10 with a 2057 pipe.. Is it possible? I run the .24 ful mod in Truggy and luv it.. using a JP6 pipe with ti and it works nicely, and I get 12 minutes with it pretty easily..

NitroOB4You 03-28-2010 05:17 AM

I've avg'd 9+ with both FM and RP .21/2057 on a mid to large size track.
Couldn't make 10. :(

This advice comes directly from Team Epic (Trinity): Sirio/ ExTech .21 Nitro Engine

Always tune from the low speed needle first, If your engine does not have enough power,do not continue to lean the HSD.
I found this advice really holds true, I have been running Extech Motors for the last 3 years. All there saying is don't always think HSN first, making a small adjustment on Low end will usually bring it back in to tune.
