Hello everybody!

Im am willing to buy ExTech .24 Full modded engine, and I have some questions about it.
First of all, how will it run with OS P3 plugs?? Here in local stores I cannot buy OS P4, only P3, P6 and P7
Second, is it possible to use Meccamo 25% Off-Road fuel? Here I can buy only Byron with 30% nitro, but I dislike it very much.

Thank you in advance!!!

Yes the p3 will work fine, thats what i use.... I have never used Meccamo 25% or any other 25% in my engines.. 30% IMO would be the best for this engine..

For all of the extec fans. I would personally not used after run oil on this engine. I dont know if it was the brand so I wont mention what I used however its a very common brand name.

I am almost postive this caued the silicone putty to fall out of the crank. I dont think I will ever have it filled and just run it like it is. I have had a few races without it and the engine runs amazing.

Just my 2 cents for all of you goin to purchase and run this engine.

i didn`t use any after run and the silicone fell apart and went up thru the engine

My Extech ran pretty good until it snapped the crank in half.
Waited over 4 months for a replacement crank and put it all back together, reset the needles to stock and proceeded to tune it.
Didnt matter what we did...it sucked.
Felt like I wasted my money on this one...not even 1.5gals on it too.
Its for sale for $100 if anyone is interested.

Hey guys can someone help? I am trying to improve run time on my FM .21, I am getting max like 7:30 in my MBX6. I have the 2013 and 97t plug. I have about a gallon and a half on the motor, and it usually comes in temping around 215. I am not a really smooth driver but it seems like I should get a little better than that.

Oh I am running aluminum shoes and 1.0 springs with a 13 tooth bell.

7:30/8 is good with the 2013. Try the 2057. You should avg 8:30/9. You'll lose a tick on the bottom, but open up the top quite a bit too.

Allright I will give it a shot.

Try slapping a NovaRossi carb on it... Looks like you have a few..... My carb was acting up after sitting for a few months . Put on a nova carb and wa -la! Is the rod oval'd out?

Have anybody tried any dynamite pipes with the .24. My big boy pipe spring clips broke at the track so I put the 086 pipe on it. I kind of like it but its not like the big boy pipe. I have a 007 i want to try and just curious.

NitroOB4You 08-20-2009 12:08 PM

I know a few have tried them on the .21s. They perform pretty good from what I have heard. I havn't tried them though. The 086 is more of a top end pipe, you might want to try an 053 for more bottom-mid. I know nothing of the 007 but it's worth trying just for the experience, pass your thoughts on so others know. :)

I will try the 007 this weekend. I will post results. I need more of a bottom-mid pipe. I had the 053 but swapped it for the 086 thinking it was a better pipe at the time.

do od97T plugs work on this engine? I have one that I'll be running soon just needs a pinch(got it cheap $30 bux) already broke it down and it looks good just doesn't have any compression

There is some slop in the rod. There was there way before crank snapped in half too. $300 just wasnt worth it for that engine IMHO. Yes some have had great luck but mine was the bad luck hehehe.
Thought about just using the engine for target practice...but might try that Nova carb like you say. If it runs halfway decent I will just abuse it and throw it away...LOL.
