how does the extech stack up with the ninja?? are they about equal?

bottomline2000 07-18-2009 07:28 PM

ninja vs extech

I don't know how they compare. i think a Ninja is along the lines of a vspec. the extech is a damn good mill as long as it's sealed up and treated right.

i got my new piston and sleeve today. have put about 3 tanks thru the 24 and this time around i think it's going to be faster. I started out last time with an air leak and don't think the initial tanks were run right. Its already running strong and smoking up my street haha..idles like a charm and so far so good.

thanks to Chad and the quick shipping btw..

Does anyone know if there are any smaller restictors that will fit these carbs?

NitroOB4You 07-21-2009 03:53 AM

Turner- Werks will work...no pun intended :|. LOL.

Romax, hang in there. I also have had a hard time getting in touch with Chad. But all in all, he will get in touch.

People running 30% nitro how many head shims and how many of which one do you have? I have some of the .10 copper ones and like one real thin silver aluminum one.

Just bought the new Ex-Tech .21 race prepped. My question is. Do they really want you to tune these things from the low end needle first? I have never tuned an engine like that. Is there something special about the engine??

Nothing I am aware of. Tune it like you tune any other nitro. I have 2 .24's and they were very simple to tune. Make sure to run 30% as they are pre shimmed for it.

Justed picked up a full mode .24. Will be picking up the baseball bat pipe here soon. What other pipes work good with this motor, Its going into my 8T 1.0.

What would be necessary to change if you are going to run 20%. I have been running 20% now on my fully modded .21 for about a 1/4 gallon and it seems good.

Here is what Chad, Trinity Tech Man, from post 1277 said:

"You can run 20%. You will need to remove 1 head shim.

The fully modified comes partially broken in.. I would run another 4-6 tanks rich before really laying in to it..

I still think you should run 30%.. for one, more power and two, will run cooler.."

Guys, have a quick ? Been running the .21 FM with a Dyn 086 pipe with great results and pitting 8-10 minutes depending on track. I picked up a big boy pipe and tried it out today. WOW! who knew this motor had that much in it!! It really woke it up EVERYWHERE! But my fuel mileage really suffered today. After 6 min quals, tank would be dry. Gonna give it another shot as I love how the motr picked up everywhere, but can't handle the drop in run time. Any one else seen this happen? Most I heard gained run time with this pipe.
Thanks

I run the same motor with the bigboy pipe and have no problem 9-10 min have gotten as much as 11:30+ run time @ 195-200 deg. Not sure why you are getting worse run time.

Well I went back to 30% Cold Fusion after realizing I was out of 20% Cold Fusion today at my race. Motor was BADASS!! Extremely smooth and tons of power, could way overshoot the larger jumps with ease almost like a electric! Was laying off some of the throttle to land on the downslopes. At 30% the motor ran way cooler. After about 20 minutes of a 30 minute main before my battery crapped out it was at 170 degrees. Best motor I have every had so far!!

NitroLuver 07-26-2009 11:53 PM

hey I was wondering will the sirio cl7b parts fit in the extech case and are they in essence the same? and also how would it work do you guys think?

Is that after you retuned? I run either the 086 or Sirio 2013 and haven't noticed a big fuel mileage difference with either. 8 minutes or more with either pipe. Can't imagine it dropping that much with the Big Boy.
