I have the 2053 pipe setup running #5 GRP plugs with 30% Maxy's fuel. Jut when I think I get the right tune it just either runs flat on certain parts of the power band or just flames out. I'm gonna give it one more chance racing at Family Hobbies at Vineland, NJ. If it fails me, I'm going right back to my Novarossi's. It kinda sucks cuz I had high hopes for this engine from watching it perform last season. I even bought a second one as a back up.

definitely never heard of a grp liking a lean top and a rich bottom :weird::weird::weird::weird::weird:i mean never ever heard that before ....if your motor only has a gallon on it and still has good compression ...i would look elsewhere for the problem ....airleaks,glow plugs ,exhaust leaks , gas tank leaks, fuel filter leaks ...im just sayin ..the motors are good ...you may have other issues ....if you cant get it right and go back to nova rossis ...pm me i will buy your grp's ........the grp tuned is the best tuning and just best motor ive run ....

I'd get rid of that grp plug and go to a os p4. I also run mine alittle lean on the bottom and little rich up top

Get an O'Donnell plug for it and tune it with a little lean on the bottom and a little rich on top.

Lean bottom, rich top and a OS P4 plug. Engine will idle for minutes, not seconds, makes great power and gets unreal run time!

I did that and had tons of bottom end but I was dead flat on the top end. Oh, and I flamed at the 3 minute mark, twice.

Zixxer - I have both pipes. Thanks anyway.

Poppin Fresh 03-25-2009 08:50 PM

All these advice, I wish you guys were around my way. I really like the engine for the quality alone, but it's just a big headache for me.
