Thanks Matt, ya the motor has a ton of nip left. Nothing my box can't handle but I don't want to mess this sweet motor up hehehehe.

my grp runs like a real bag to when cold but thats okey when it warms up its all sweet just when its cold it rich if your engine is running fine when at ioperating temp leave it or you may find you will run into trouble with lean settings

Has anyone ever ran a P5 JX Ninga glow plug in a tuned .21? And if so did it run and last ok? Thanks

mattwoodcraft 06-19-2009 04:52 AM

is this plug not similar to the grp ones ? i use the gro ones have no issue with them at all

Frank L 06-19-2009 06:43 AM

Every grp I have ever had is cold blodded. I would have to warm it up on the box for 3-5 min before each race to get the tune to level out. Never never tune a grp cold. It will lean out when it warms up.

I hear ya Frank on them leaning out when they warm up, but mine was running like 200-210 this weekend and it was still tough for me to get the big finish line jump at RF. I had to take the turn wide before it to clear it. Seemed rich on the low end......Gonna have to mess with it this week. Great day of racing though:nod:

Every motor needs to be warmed up first. buy a heat gun and warm up the engine prior to every heat. Doesnt take as long to get it up and ready for tune prior to the heats.

I like the Odonnell plugs in both the tuned and non tuned.
