Why do you say the turbo is a must?

the only downside to the turbo is plug cost, but to me the benefits far out weigh that. more power, better economy and it most cases the plugs last longer than a standard plug.

Exactly. It's more responsive too. I bought my 5-port as a standard head button and ran it like that for a few gallons before switching to the turbo. It was a noticeable improvement.

The improvement you get for $16 is noticible but i wouldnt say its a must... but if you have an extra $16 bones for the plug i say go for it!!

for me, its a guaranteed improvement for $16 where as trying different pipes to get an improvement is not guaranteed and costs a whole lot more to get that improvement.

Guys i need help on the 5 port.
It seems that the modified i intended to buy is almost double the price of the stock one. Shall i go for it or not?

I think that my LHS has only the 5 port in standard plug and sells the turbo button separately...will i notice any significant performance boost over the standard plug if i install a turbo?
How about runtimes?

And one last question...i will be using a JP-1 exhaust with the 5 port is this OK as far as runtime concern? I suppose that the low end power will be more than enough.

double the price, man who is that? an 086 or 053 and 2060 are great on the 5 ports, but i ran the 2047 on one of my modded 5s and the pipe is fanominal, will be very good on the stock as well, it great on my 7 port.

+1 on the turbo, it offers a greater feel from top to bottom, and just knowing the purpose of a turbo head is a ease of the mind for me, nice smooth chamber

Is it ok to run the medium turbo plug in the 5 port of should I only run the hot? What would be the difference?

Where are you racing? indoor outdoor, i race indoor for the winter and run a P6=hot and when outdoor i go with a P3= ultra hot, with a cooler plug your tunning window decreases, a hot or ultra hot broadens this effect, and for outdoor with temps and air changing the way it does the hotter plug is great, but for cool clean air like indoor or just a nice day outdoor you can try a hot, med plugs don't seem to idle as well also, the heat of the plug should be chosen by the air your runnning in. But for the GO 5 port turbo a P6 or P3 will work great, thats all i run and have great succsess.
