:tire: I see changes to the GO USA website :tire:

Looks like it may not be complete, but it has moving parts now! :)
I'd like to be the first to register for the forum :D

Finally!!!!!! Trey the site is lookin' good!!

Thanks guys... what you see represents a LOT of work on the back end, plus a lot of customization.

As you can see, the content isnt quite done yet, but the framework itself is. Also, the forum is up, but I'm not sure if the registration works yet.

Also, I should have my first shipment of starter boxes and cooler kits (and a TON of parts, gaskets, etc.) the second week in March. Two weeks after that will be another shipment of starter boxes and GX engines.

Looks good for sure. Let me know as soon as I can place an order man, still wanting to get some inventory!

matrixmike28 02-25-2010 05:17 AM

Trey, did you get my email yesterday?

Ruune 02-25-2010 05:50 AM

shoaf... let me know what you need.

Mike... No- my email wasnt working for a few hours yesterday. I had to change the forwarding information for my email, when I changed servers.

The site is starting to take shape Runne.
You have got all the bling-bling going on.
So now it's time to add some substance
to the site. As suggested before, a list
of the GO-Engines-U.S.A. distributors
along with there contact info is needed.
Also a "Downloads Section" with the
exploded view and parts list for every
GO engine offered, in a pfd. format,
would help out alot.

Ruune 02-25-2010 08:10 AM

Thanks man... duly noted. Most of this is already in the works. I've got the exploded views for all the current motors, which I will probably put in a "downloads" section in the forum, or possibly a menu item on the main page.

PM sent!

Looks great Trey! The designers chose a nice platform to work with so content management should be pretty straight forward when they're done. Once you develop a system your operations will be as smooth as butter.

Noteworthy: I recommend a PayPal Cart (or similar) redirect instead of handling and storing secure transactions (cart) internally. The information security laws are changing and it's going to become very expensive to handle. It requires 3rd party verification, server security reports, strict security implementations, and subjects the entire system to unscheduled federal and state security audits. Information liability is also a concern when you store it.

I agree, but I don't think he is selling off the web site. Should be a list of dealers here in the U.S. to buy from. So it will be up to them [individual dealers]to get their individual web sites going,as too parts and such.

Ruune 02-26-2010 08:36 AM

The CMS has virtuemart already installed as a catalog. I've also done integration with virtuemart and quickbooks for some others' sites.

However, I'm going to keep the cart informational and in catalog mode only. As a distributor, I have no desire to get into retail whatsoever. :) Later on, I may setup a shopping cart system for the dealers, but that's as far as I'm going to take it.

You are exactly right!:)

Very Nice! :D

Bonus. Even standard customers will get to see what's available here in the states, and who to call to get what they need
