why would any one call long distance? And wasn't there some scam going around with the 209 area code awhile back? Any way what's your problem with the engine? There are a number of people on this thread that could fix your engine by what you can describe.

LOSIRACER77, I see by the area code that you are
located somewhere in western Kentucky. If you can't
find anyone local to help you out, post whats going
on with with your engine on this thread. Getting input
from all the guys on here should get your engine running
properly again.

The problem child

Well the 5 port is an old block it doesn't tune like other go techs I got, it has a mind if it own, I have put new bearings in it, gaskets, the damn thang will not hold a tune, but when it's right it's fast!! The needles have to be screwed in so far down in the carb. It seems like 1 hour of a turn does alot!! The carb slide is notchy and wiggles, I am thinking that I need a carb. I got alot of RB concept carbs and I got some OS v-spec carbs. Which carb should I use???

zJatoRad 12-02-2009 08:48 PM

Either carb will drop right in, I would go with the OS carb though. Have you checked the Go carb needle o-rings.

you should try replacing the seals with the new nitrile ones. I have these in stock... have your local shop contact me, or ask any of the dealers on here and we can get you fixed up!

I've heard some of the early Go's had a different taper on the needle's and one hour was a big adjustment. If you haven't put new o-rings in the high and low speed I would do that first.

on the new carbs to 1 hour seems to be a huge ajustment 1/2 only
