which carburator included?
 

Hi Everybody!

I've just bought a Go 217PT. For the last 4 years I've had R&B engines and I can't say anything bad about these. But I heard so many good things about Go engines, it made me really curious. Mine is equipped with a turbo button and there is another copper shim included in the box, no glowplug.
I was told to use OS P3 plugs... Long story short, here comes my question:
I heard there were different versions of carburators which had different needles (e.g. longer lsn). How can I distinguish between these carburators to tell which one I have? I got my engine n.i.b. of course, by the end of last year. The cooling head has the same "drawings" on it as you can see on the GO Tech homepage, so it should be a Gen5...
Second Question: Is it worth to try a ThunderTiger 2035 pipe (its the same as a 053) Or should I definitely get a Go 2047?

Triplesix, if you have the long LSN when you look inthe carb and open the throttle to WOT the LSN will not fully pull out if the housing in the other side. The short LSN pulls out around half thottle

This past weekend I ran a 7PT with the AE 2035 (same pipe) and I was very pleased. The 2035 gives great low and mid range power, which compliments the motor.

I will say that with the 2035 the fuel mileage decreased as compared to the 0801, but not night and day. Unless you are chasing 10 minute pit stops, it will easily make the 7.5 minute normal pit stop intervals in a 30 minute main.

P4 or P3.... stick to the colder plug if possible

Yes the P3 and 4 work well I prefer the 3. Or if you are on a buget you can go with the OD 77T I heard about people using the 97T but never seen it.

i run the OD97t in both my stock and modded go's and they work flawlessly

Hey guys, I currently have a Go .21 7 port and the Stock Hyper 8.5 Pipe. Im looking at getting a new pipe for my birthday, what pipe do you guys recommend. My home track Is Clanfield in the Uk.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dtNbC6ldIM

That video is old, but shows roughly what the track is like changed a few parts.. and less grass now as its been winter. So yea I was wondering what pipe you recomend.. For a bit of everything.. a Allround pipe if possible? cheers

dynamite 086 is a great choice

A P3 or P4?
Why hot plug compared to the medium or colder plugs. What are the advantages to the hot plug compared to colder plugs? I'm looking for engine performance, plug and engine longevity with the ease of tuneablity. I will be buying plugs in bulk this year to save a few bucks so I’d like to make a wise decision. That’s why I'd like your help on this matter.

Jamie, I think you posted a while ago with the same question. If you can wrangle two pipes, get the 2047 and the 0801. Use the 2047 pipe with the longer 0801 header on the 7 Port - you will love the results :sneaky:
If you are restricted to one pipe then zJatoRad is spot on with the Dynamite 053. Plus the Dynamite 053 hard anodised is a sweet pipe for the price.

Okay, so NOW there are some pipe recommendations :flaming:. I ordered a 7 port and a new 086 (Dynamite hard anodized) just 2 days ago.

I race at a short, hard-packed track. Would there be a noticeable difference between the 086 and 053?
