Could it be bad fuel??? I had a motor that ran great, then it wouldn't come on pipe or it would stall...turned out it the last of the jug had gone bad.

Sounds like a leak somewhere... check the carb boot, HSN/fuel inlet, carb bases, fuel lines/filter, ect...

Question

Hello Guys,

Just wanna ask, why the 0801 pipe better than 2047? I have the GO .21 7 Port and 2047 pipe, and it does rip. I can stand against V-Spec Speed and not be left behind..... too far.. :)

Thanks,
Jojo

how much run time do you guys see from the .25s... and what pipe?? is it worth loss in fuel mileage to get over like .21 3pt or 5pt?? oh yeah for a RC8T

zJatoRad 11-19-2008 06:42 PM

my uncle is getting 8 minutes on his Go .25 with a JP-2, in a Hyper ST Pro.

I think there is barely a loss in milage on the .25. When I raced last weekend it was getting the same/if not better run time than my buggy. If I recall the .25 was leaner, but yeah, about the same for run time if you tune the same. At least 8 minutes, maybe 8.5-9 at times.

AlanHall 11-19-2008 07:32 PM

the .25 dont have any wierd carb issues or anything? what pipes work on this? how do you think the AE 2035 pipe will work?

yaright 11-19-2008 09:37 PM

I am getting 9 plus minutes with the 801 pipe:nod:, 7 to 7.5 with a jp3. As far as carb issues, solved that problem with a nova carb:nod:

Everyone has their favourites. I find the 0801 on the 7 Port gives it wicked bottom end and it still revs out big time (but not quite as much as with the 2047, which is basically a mid to top end pipe).
I have a friend who uses the 2047 pipe with the longer header off the 0801 pipe and swears by this set up.
If you want a really smooth power band with the 7 Port and can run a two chamber pipe under your governing rules, get a Dynamite 053, you will love the results.
As far as 3 chamber pipes go, for me, I find the 0801 is very nice and gives good ecomony too.

well i pulled the carb off cleaned the base area, replaced the lower o ring in the block and sealed w/ rtv and reinstalled. cured overnight and ran next day flawlessly. and no movement of carb. maybe it worked its way up from engine:confused: either way its good to go for now:)
