im running the odonnell 077t they work good

We have some Go team guys here local that only use the p3 or p4. I checked up and he said to go with that plug.

I think thats what Brian at Pro twister recommends as well.

This next race season I am going to be running a Go Tech .21 5port Race in a HB D8 buggy, what is a good pipe to add to this combination. I want something with some nice bottom end grunt, which is why I am going with the 5 port, but I want it to have a nice top end also. I race in Florida our tracks have nice straights but some decent technical turns that go right into doubles, triples, sometimes quads.

I have been running the 0801 pipe on my .21 3-port now for awhile and was wondering what is the difference between the 0801 and 2047. My friend has a GO .21 5-port and wants a GO pipe for it. What would be better the 2047 or 0801? Thanks

Back a while a go I had the chance to run the new go 3 and 5 port stuff well before the new versions came out. It was labeled something different at the time. At any rate, I'm not sure if anything changed but with the 5 port I got the best run time with the 2060.

Thanks AB, but I don't see why I need a losi truck/car diaper as the link you posted relates too.

If I need a diaper I choose depends though, love their no leak design, but at 24 that should be a few years off still.

The 0801 has a little more bottom and doesn't peak out quite as high in the rpm's as the 2047, the 2047 being basically a top end pipe.
With the 5 Port the 0801 will give it wicked bottom end and ok top. The 2047 will be smoother on the bottom and rev out a bit more on the straights.
You may also like to try the 2047 pipe with the slightly longer header off the 0801. This in effect gives you good bottom and top, but maybe a little less economy. Works good on the 7 Port, never tried it on the 5 Port.

If you want to run a GO pipe, I would run the 0801 on the 5 Port for killer bottom and mid range power, which is where you normally need it the most, unless you are running an open track with long straights. Then go for the 2047.

Just to confuse the issue, one of the best pipes I ever ran (if not the best) on my Gen 4 5 Port was the Dynamite 086. This is a short chamber top end pipe but it matches up to the 5 Port very well, giving great bottom end (which the 5 Port has in abundance anyway), and drawing extra top end power out as well. Very good value for money too. Hope this helps :confused:

Guys what sort of ambient temps are you using that in? I think they'd be a bit hot for Australia? Running a 5 port on 25% in 80 - 100F sort of temps what plug do you reckon? Go up to a P5 or P6 maybe??

We run them here in New Zealand through our summer (around 21 - 25 C on a nice day). You are probably going to get hotter than that though.
Mark at Massive Mods in Sydney sells and uses the LRP #6 plugs which seem to work well for him. Pick some up and give them a go.

Thanks for that man. I've had recommendations of the LRP #6, and will get some, but I'm just trying to ascertain a common and quality alternative as I live in the country and may have to buy what I can get or borrow at the track etc etc
Maybe a better question is what plugs are equivalent to the LRP #6 and Go Tech #5 ?

Not sure about the equivalent turbo plug but the OS "A" series of plugs can be used in place of the GO standard plugs.
I have used OS P3 plugs in Victoria Australia in temps up to 36 deg C in summer and have had no problems with good engine temps.
