Yes, Paul was saying his 3 R was breathed on by Cliff our rocket fuel mixer (very talented engineer by all accounts) - sure made a difference. Paul said it was the smoothest off-road motor he has owned. It still had some metal pinch left on Sunday (only got leaned out a little for the A Final) and was keeping up with pretty much everything out there down the straight, but was very easy to drive through the tight stuff.
Good old Kiwi ingenuity strikes again.
How are you finding the new fuel ? Seems to be the way to go I think.
My 7 port is rocking. Just put a new rod in today as recommended, now that the initial metal pinch has pretty much gone (around 1.5 gal). The old one was in good shape when it came out, but better safe than sorry :nod: Wanted to do it before the WRC so I can fang it real good :sneaky:
Possibly looking at a modded motor for the coming summer months. All depends on how nice the tax man is to me :ha:

Yep, you've had a good run out of that 7 port for sure. What you say is quite right though. If you treat things well they will last, plus fiddling around maintaining your motors and cars is half the fun. Is for me anyway :)

Is there anyway to contact racefactor besides the email listed on the site. I was in contact with them a few weeks ago and they were going to send me a new carb for my 5 port but nada has come in the mail and I am not able to send emails to them think something on their end. I went ahead and bought a new ninja cuz I needed a motor to race but still would like to use 5 port as backup.

Maybe Racefactor is waiting for the carb from the factory? Racefactor doesn't make the motors so therefore Go would be the one to warranty it. Where did you buy the motor?

I bought it from Brian on this site cant remember his exact screenname. Dana had said She just needed my address and she would ship it out. I told her I could send back the old one with proof of purchase but she said I did not need to. Not really a big deal its only been not even two weeks since I talked to her. Ill wait a few more then try again. I just dont know if its a email problem on my side or theirs.

Just like to get some opinions from 7 Port owners on the Dynamite 053 vs the Go 0801 pipe.
I changed from the 053 to the 0801 a month or so ago but it's been so wet here that I have only had one chance to race it properly since then. The 0801 is very nice on the 7 port, but I am going to change back to the 053 for a direct comparison. From memory the 053 performed a little smoother right through the range, but may have lacked the punch of the 0801. Any comments or recommendations from lucky 7 port owners out there would be appreciated :smile:

the PT stands for PRO TURBO if you go to the GO web site you can see this in the part # for the gen 5 egines it is also engraved on the head of the gen 5engines ie 5PT 7PT etc etc

the P series engines run standard plugs and the PT series engines run turbo plugs

I had the wiggles with my carb on my 3 port t. I swithed to a OS 21 VG carb and havent had anymore wiggles. seems a little easier to tune so far.

This guy claims to sell the modded crank which he also sells seperately.

I have a GO 21 7 port and a GO 28. Both the stock cranks from the factory look like they were widdled with inferior hand tools. The ebay guys cranks are smooth as glass. If your a dealer it might be worth while to find out the whole story.

the cranks shown on the EBay site are the new revised Gen 5 cranks they are the standard crank that now come with GO engines so if you have the Gen 5 series engine they should also look like that

I'm having a problem with my Go 7 port not wanting to thottle down... At first I thought it was a lean lsn so I retuned it.

Well, it seems no matter what I do I can't get rid of it. I'm running a Vspec carb if that helps anyone.

What besides a lean condition could cause this?

Check your idle gap. These Go TEch engines like a very small idle gap, somewhere bewtween .5mm and 1.0mm.

Anybody interested in buying a NEW GO.25 and .28 motors?? I have 2 in stock I want to get rid of. I am just going to carry the .21's. $170 a piece takes them.
