ok correction. i thought my .21 5port turbo had alot of power during break in. man was i wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!! this motor screams. the only problem i had was gettin it race tuned. one min it was way to rich the next it was lean boggin. finally i got it just rite. never ever ever will i buy anything but a GO motor. these powerhouses rock.:nod::nod:
also im runnin a stock hyper 8.5 pro pipe. i have got to get this baby clocked. i swear it is going over 60mph and all it does is keep climbin from bottom to top end.:nod::eek: it makes you wonder if there is a limit to how fast these things will go. |

I have a 3r that has about 9 tanks, including break in, and a 5 port '08 version. What do you guys think about using a JP2 or JP3 pipe on them? Unfortunately, those are the only 2 pipes I currently have.
I've got a race this Saturday and plan on running the 3r motor. I'd love to use the Go 0801, but won't be able to get one in in time. |
3r=JP3
5=JP2 |
Hi guys, I have had the Go Tech five port for about 3 gallons now, and all I have to say is that I am sold for life with Go Tech! I am currently using the Dynamite 053 midrange pipe, but I was just wondering what is the best pipe for this motor? I am think of switching to the o86 high speed dynamite pipe.

ill be very honest with you guys I done even know what the femca # stands for anyway....I just know all three pipes have the same # on them. |
Just ran the 3r in my truggy! its a PTM and was runnin it with an 086. This engine was meant for my buggy but my v-spec is gettin new bearings so I decided to through it in the truck. It is still breaking in and man it was doin really well. Mind you its pushin an x1crt (not the lightest truck) and I had a 14 tooth bell on it from my buggy! I went from the JP-4 to the 086 on this engine and it made all the difference in the world. Basically the only difference between the dynamite 086 and the 0801 is the length of the header. A guy at our track ran the 0801 last night and he said he felt it had a little more low/mid than the 086. But for the money dynamite 086 is where its at

I will be getting another Dynamite pipe then! :nod:

hey not tryin to hurt sales of other pipes or the go pipes but yall should try the hyper 8.5 pro pipe. IT MAKES THIS MOTOR SCREAM AT LOW AND TOP. what pipe will help me cut down on top end sum

I must agree, I'm using the Hyper 8 EFRA 2059 and the 5Port is a monster! not sure how different is the 8.5 from the 8 though |

the 0801 has more volum than the 86, the dynamite is a good pipe for the money, but just doesnt feel the same as the GO:nod:

O.....M.....G!!!!!!!!
Just completed tank 12 on my new 3r (not '08 version) and this motor SCREAMS!!!! Still using the original P3 glowplug used from the beginning of break-in. Needle settings are currently at HSN = 1/4 turn in from flush, LSN = 2 turns in from flush. I used the Racefactor break-in procedure, so while running tanks 7 - 11, and with HSN = 1/2 turn out from flush, LSN = 1 3/4 turns in from flush, progressively leaning needles, it had the typical richy/sluggish feel throughout entire power band. During tank 12, the entire power band was relatively crisp and very responsive. I'm very pleased with this motor, so far. I know this is just the beginning and have many more tanks/gallons to run. I hope this power band lasts a long time and continues to improve. We'll see how this motor performs this Saturday during a race. Here are my items: XB808 Go Tech 3 port race (not '08) JP-2 pipe Futaba 3PKS w/ Spektrum Pro DSM w/ telemetry Byron 30% race 3000 Gen2 |
You have my same setup! Except I have the 08. Slap an0801 on that badboy and LOOOOKOOOOUT! They are smooth top too bottom aren't they.
