Usually if it's grey/silver case and the heatsink is not milled it's RTR/Sport engine meaning 3port. If it's black case then it could be some "special" version as I know there are some models with up to 8 ports I believe.

There is a lot of different types floating around in the ebay etc. It's sometimes hard to define what engine you have but in any case there should have been an instruction letter following your engine telling the exact Go part# and from there you can determine the ports etc.

It has a gray/silver case and it has a pull start so i/m assuming its a sport engine then? So 3 ports? Can I get any instructions/parts lists anywhere then?

There are a few reasons you can burn up plugs. #1 being if you shut off your motor by plugging the exhaust, always stop the flywheel. Also if your tune is off, maybe too lean on top but the bottom being fat so the temps are fine. It also doesn't help to run it out of fuel. I ran a 3 port sport I modded this last weekend and I was impressed by the Go plugs.

If it's pull-start then it's Sport/RTR and most probably 3port. As you are based in UK you can contact your local shop or disti. Majority of the engines use same parts across the line so you should be covered. For sure sleeves are different etc. Does it have the UK disti serial# on the case ? Did you buy it used if you did not get the leaflet or was it coming with a car ?

Ok I have a question, I am currently running an RB C6 with the 2045 pipe in my buggy and it is a HANDFULL to drive! Is there a good GO motor that isn't too much of a step down in power compared to the RB? I have been looking and the 5 port is interesting to me but I dont want a turbo motor... Since I have a TON of standard plugs...
Also, the 7 port is very good also, alot of guys that are use to running v specs are going to this motor, it is smooth on bottom and has endless top, currently i am hooked on this motor with the GO pipe and 7mm insert

Besides the obvious whats the difference between the 3r and 5 port .21 motors? I think my biggest issue would be tuning? Does the 5 port require more work or does either one take the same amount of time to tune. What are the power advantages? Im gonna use the dynamite 086

both engines are the same to tune the 5 port has alot more bottom end than the 3r and the top ends are very similar. the 086 pipe is a pretty good match with the 5pt but you really need to go to the go 2047, 0801 or an 053 pipe to liven up the bottom on the 3r.
both engines have a smooth power band. the 5 pt is a really good motor for a truggy but the 3r struggles a little in a truggy. but just to confuse you I personally think that the 7pt is the best alround with a 2047 and a long header it has as much bottom as the 5pt but still has more top with really good millage- but thats just my opinion

Both pipes are good, i have ran the 2047 and it didn't feel as good the 0801, the 0801 is very close to a NR 9886, till the 0801 came out i always ran a dynamite 086 top end pipe, the 0801 has more bottom and the same if not more on my engines, it's good to have both but if i had to choose, 0801. i thought the 2047 was the cat's meow, but when i got to a very large track, it just didn't have the top i needed, it was chocking off the 3 port way befor the 086.
So is it advisable to put GO .25 6 Port and a 0801 Pipe for the Truggy?

I have to disagree with you there , stopping the engine by the flywheel is not the best , i prefer to block the exhaust over the flywheel .. Ive never had plug problems as a result of plugging the exhaust..

I too have the same issue, I have GO .21 7 Port, and I do stop the motor by blocking the exhaust port. But i still have "burned" (I mean, really, really black) glow plugs. I have only use OS A3 plug. Would you suggest OS 8 plug?
