Race #2 at Nora Tomorrow, Saturday 11/9/13
Doors will be open by 9, track should be built by 9:30 - 9:45 and open to play on. Come up and get some practice. The new carpet is great, similar grip to the Hanger.
Last race we had 15 entries and we ran 3 classes Novice, Scale Spec and Stock.
In Novice, Larry Vodder took the TQ and win. 12th ran with novice and it proved hard to race with the bigger cars. Hopefully we will have a couple more show up this week and they can run their own class.
In stock, I took the TQ and win but not without a buzzer to buzzer battle with Korey. He kept his car glued to my bumper for 6 min, trying inside, trying outside but to no avail the whole time putting on a clinic of sportsmanship and patience. With a lead of only 2 tenths most of the race, and my nerves shattered, somehow I got across the line first. I don't know if I'll be so lucky this week!
In scale spec it was JB who took the TQ. With Chris and Steve barking up his heals. But in the main it was a different story! An unknown driver came out of the shadows and took the reins of Perry's car. About 2 min in this unbelievable unknown passed JB and never looked back. Oh, JB tried to make a come back, but with an absolute solid run by this obviously superior driver he didn't stand a chance. I guess we'll see what happens this week. Maybe JB can redeem himself, or does Chris or Steve have something to say about that?
Current track records :
Novice - Larry Vodder 27 6:07.327 Fast Lap - Larry Vodder 11.922
Stock - Jeff Kuney 36 6:00.430 Fast Lap - Korey Harbke 9.385
Scale Spec - JB 33 6:00.299 Fast Lap JB 10.292
Hope to see everyone out tomorrow for the second race of the season. Sorry for the late report. Better late then never.
