Can we get the Competition Committee to weigh in on this idea? If it's a no-go for one reason or another, it'd be good to know before we all get too excited But if it has feasibility and we can get a bunch of members to commit for next season, this could be awesome

Would you join us in the above discussed class? But you can't commit to half a season

For the moment, I'm afraid I've commandeered the Comp Committee to help with a couple significant items.

But, they will be commencing with their annual 1000 email bash through the classes and rules very shortly. It's always a big ask, to weigh current enthusiasm against history and their own best judgment. It's Kody, Bodine, Swadener, Alex, and Briscoe. That's about 80 years of collective experience right there.

Myself and Bradshaw chime in, but they tend to politely ignore us and do their good work without our "help". (I'm serious, they don't listen to me AT ALL). We can all see how well that's worked!

Naw I would leave that to the newcomers, I will stick with half a season of 1/12 scale although it looks pretty rad, and if it gets more people into pan cars that's even radder!

So I actually looked into this suxtapose thing, the car is 150$, u can get a sweet used 1/12 for the same price, the Schumacher is fully tunable, and yeah it requires no upgrades but neither does a ae car or crc, it a tbar? That doesn't prepare you for a 1/12 if you choose to step up to a stock 1/12.

Stock 1/12 is a good spec starter class, fwiw there will be a guy that trues his tires to rubber bands and ruins the "fun"

Sounds like fun, but come to stock 1/12 and have a blast!

Default New to the area

I just moved to Seattle. I raced touring cars about 8-9 years ago (had a TC3 back when I was in high school), thinking about getting back into it. What motor, esc, battery are people running in the stock class to be competitive?

Thanks!

I think the big boys are running Orca all the way around. We're in the Asphalt season now. If you go back to the Northwest Racers section there is a schedule stickied of the races happening around the area. The Hangar and the Community Center kick off again in September.

If you can get away this Saturday we are running one of our series races (CARS) in Bremerton. Lots of people around to answer any question you might have. You'll get lots of input on these forums as well.

The big summer event is happening next week at Timezone raceway. It's the mecca of the summer season...if you can get something together by then, you really should try to get down there. It's worth the experience
