We have started at 1pm on Sunday for a long time so that wouldn't change. We would probably just drop a round of quals.

If I had any input, I would rather ditch 1 hour of practice and start at noon than ditch 1 qualifier.

i would be okay with that.

but like you said you have ran three and a main a LONG time on sundays. and one of the driving factors of comming on sundays was the fact that we get more racing in, along with we used to run IFMAR quals if any1 remembers that.

I for one had a blast... Shots of Tequilla and Mac and Jacks with Nate and Kody after the race was awesome! Brian Munn will be 21 Tuesday so everyone should go to Mikes on Saturday and get him tore up!!!!!

All I saw was baddddd asssss racing all day long!

I for one didn't turn into a pumpkin and liked the turn out.

If anything a noon start.

Or a compromise (spell check darn public schools... George did I spell that right?) 2 rounds of qualifying and Ifmar (staggered) starts???? Like old TRCR used to be on SUndays!!!!!

I know Sterling remembers when that happened!

I agree with Brian the turnout was awesome and i see no reason to complain. I drive a hour and a half each way one or two days a week to race and i love sundays the best because of the three quals and even if it goes til 8:30 i still am home by 10. I go on tuesday get home about 1:30 or 2 and wake up at 5 or 6 and i am still happy I did it. The best part about it going late is that it means there is a GREAT turnout and competition!! Thats why we all show up, to have some fun racing with friends....................

I don't see 8:40 as being late. I like when there is big turnouts. I think going back to 2 rounds of quals and IFMAR starts sounds good. But if we do that we should do 8 minute mains.

Default Too darn late

With Sundays racing at FW being cancelled for the day, the step-son and myself went over to T.R.C.R. to see the dirt side of racing. I grew up doing dirt racing and went into retirement. Lol Actually girls and airplanes took top billing. Just recently got into T.C. racing and love every minute of it.

Tyler loved the dirt stuff and really wants to race all winter long. I as well can't wait to get back into dirt. Racing both T.C. and dirt will give us great family time all year long (whatever keeps them off facebook and myspace huh).

That whole soap opera lead in was to express one point. Race over at 2030 hrs is way to late. Our best scenario travel time is just over an hour. With two school kids and me having to be up at 4 am, the kinda ETA at the home front just doesnt work. Thats why FW was so great. Get around 1.5 to 2 hrs paractice and start by 11 am. Run 3 quals and main and out between 5pm and 6pm, and thats after track teardown. It was a great scenario.

So in closing; if everyone is so dead set on such a late start time than a great thing is ending before it even gets started.

And this is just my 2 shiney pennies worth of input. It is a great track and wonderful program. My kudos to the ones that make it happen. Just hopin we can be a part of it soon.

Sound good. i think that we could have more then one option.

I am not a director and never will be. just throwing this out as option.

Always start at 1 pm. Because thats what its been for a long time.

before the race starts use

less then 8 heats maybe 9 use the normal format with 3 heats and main.

more then 8 or 9 heats. 2 heats and main.

always done by 7 sh

everyone lines up just as they do now, or group together near the starting line, and its, go car 1, pause, go car 2, pause, go car 3 pause, and on and on and on, its suppose to give everyone a chance at a clean qualifying run, however, it also takes the "feel' away of 'racing' as your racing the clock not each other.

thats because you don't get up at 430 in the morning and falling asleep at work means someone dies
