We think we might be able to open up in 2 or 3 weeks.

So ROAR has made some brushless motor rules for 2008-2009, I'll be discussing with LIR, RCE Gallimods Extreme about what classes they run so there will be consistancy between the tracks for organised racing.

On another note, I've looked into the prices to replace 4 of the exhaust fan motors in the ceiling and they are about $350 each, which is afforadble. I still need to look into what the 4 other fans require. So Indoor 1/10th and 1/12th Nitro might be a strong possibility for the summer.

Default 1/18th scale

I would be down to be a part of the 1/18th scale off raod racing if you can get enough people.

I've got 2 of the RB5's....Great Buggy!!! Very predictable and consistent. My 8 year old switched from his xxxcr to an RB5 and is loving it. Parts have been tuff to come by though. I haven't broken anything yet but spent a ton on spares in case. My only real beef is that the Kyosho Shock Springs are big bucks. Almost as bad as Xray springs for touring.....

Hey Joe,

I figured out that i'll need 20 fixtures to light up the track area...

8ft using (6) T8 bulbs in the 5000k color, the best price I've found is here...

http://www.businesslights.com/power-...re-p-1233.html

I'm still waiting to hear from our electrician for what prices he can get us. You mentioned you might be able to help us with that? Let me know. The pit area will need lighting too, but it just needs general lighting.

Mark

I'll be down with running a 18th scale with you.

i noticed that as well, and found that losi AND ae springs fit, losi's are a little loose, and ae's are a little snug. im gonna use a small sanding drum on the dremel for the ae springs, and might try a few different cups on the bottom to see if the losi's fit a lil better. i will keep u posted on it.

I am hoping we could find some people during the outdoor months because there really isn't any 1/18th offroad racing during that time in CT. Wolcott indoor closes, madness moves outside etc. Hopefully we could find some people that are still interested in running 1/18,1/16th during the summer.

I'm not sure if the hobby is mainstream enough to the general public for that. Not really enough consistant, loyal customers to have an 1/8th indoor nitro track and compete with internet price gouging. It probably could have been done pretty easy in the late 1980's, but 1/8th nitro wasn't popular then.
