Had a great time at Motorama, the track wasn't the best but over all it was a lot of fun. I'll definitely be going again next year. We had a pretty good showing of racers from RCHR; Willy, John, Jeff, Blake, Ed, Phu and JP. Even saw a few non regulars sporting their RCHR attire.
Congrats to Blake for TQing the C Main in Mod truck, he had a really good chance of bumping to the B main if he didn't get "barnholed" in the last turn.
PS. If anyone goes next year I know the perfect place to eat, it's called Mulligans East, fantastic steak and lobster, just ask Jeff.

I could use that salt in my wounds for my back steps lol.
Goto liverc.com, pick to view live broadcast, pick Motorama 1/10 or 1.8. It will fail but in the lower right corner there's a "results" tab, it has all the mains and videos for each race.

Man that track was super horrible, I would have been super pissed to drive thru a damn storm to race on at surface that rivals the moon. Anyway glad you guys had fun i'll be there next year to cry about it in person lmao....
I wasn't too impressed with the pictures I saw. On a positive note, I heard it was pretty easy to put the Mars Rover at least 2 laps down in the qualifiers.

i have to admit, that clay track was the bumpiest i've ever seen it. in the previous 2 years i've gone, it wasn't nearly as bumpy. i was talking with brent thielke while waiting in line for practice about the track. him and i were discussing how everybody's gotta race on the same track, despite the conditions not being ideal. hey, learning experience for me and i'm sure for others in terms of driving on that surface. it also took longer than previous years for the track to dry out. i actually stayed on clay compound tires a lot longer than usual. more learning experiences i guess.
the 1/8 track was also difficult. there were these pot holes that developed that made it difficult for short course trucks. then, they changed one of the table top jumps since it became worn down, forcing everyone to take that section differently than what was learned on friday's practice runs. challenging for sure. hey, next year, i'll be that much more experienced. it was still loads of fun. plus, watching motocross during downtime was awesome.

Regardless of the track I had a good time and I'll go again, racing for me at this point is about having fun with friends and I had fun. Lots of laughing and joking around. The last qualifier for 4wd buggy was so bad I came off the stand just laughing because that's all I could do. The one plus about the small track was the traction, it was outstanding it was the lack of smoothness that was the killer.
And props to Photog and his camera for upsetting Steven Hartson to the point he stopped racing his 3rd qualifier to complain to the race director about being blinded by his camera flash. Haha, good times, good times....

i agree, i'm not a huge fan of the bumpiness of the 1/10 track or the ruts in the 1/8 track. but, the miss motorama girls were worth it! lol. https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbi...ce=54&refid=13
haha, that bump in the straight tossed my buggy, too. it was nuts.
