Default Hey serpentd havey metal friend!!

Hey serpentd heavy metal friend!!

congration on your 3rd in the race.

i hope you take a winner in next race!!!

and.. i hava two suggestion point to you for better race.

that is brake, engine setup.

1) brake setup.

i feel that too hard brake setting make brake intensity changed.

car must not flinch when braking.

soft reduction of speed is good.

you can look my G4S making soft reduction of speed in the end of backstraight in 2nd kawahara cup video.

it is important that same(settled) braking feel must be guaranteed in all the A-main race.

and then you can adapt proper braking point.

2) engine flame out and hang down problem.

i always feel that my engine hang down in long race.

you can confirm my engine hang down in 1st kawahara cup video.

But my engine did not hang down in 2nd kawahara cup (also see video).

i changed my engine setup method.

it is a rich mixture needle setting.

rich mixture needle setting can idle down quickly and can make steady power in long race.

you can also confirm my engine exhaust large white smoke in 2nd kawahara cup at corner out.

But because of too rich mixture setup.. my engine flamed out after first fuel time in 2nd kawahara cup.

long throttling can avoid engine flame out after refuel.

i did set up engine like this method:

1. full throttle and stop car

2. wait 10-13 seconds.

3. thottle up and look car movement

1) too fast starting -> unlock mixture needle (by 15 degree)

2) too toilsome starting -> lock mixture needle(by 15 degree)

set up mixture needle until car have a bit toilsome starting.

4. after hard racing and stop the car..

make low idle needle bring into engine flame out after about 8-10 secs..

stable low idle make more punch feel in corner out.

good luck to serpentd in next race!!

How far are you from Nebraska?
Don't laugh too hard if it's an idiotic Q....... there's a 'Heart-of-America' there soon. Not sure when. But I thought I'd ask.

Interested to know how you did today though.

Menace, dude...look at what I found...

http://www.heartofamericaseries.com/schedule.html

It looks as though the race in Lincoln Nebraska is in July on the 7th and 8th! Dude, I will plan on this race if you can. Let me know what you think. If anyone else is interested let me know too. We can try and gather a handful of G4Sers if some of you are willing to drive out for this race.

Anyway Menace, let me know what you think bro and we will start making arangments. Let me know dude!!!

If track has a technical infield then diff is preferred option with spool a possibility.

On a flowing track my preference is the spool.
Tanks a lot razzor for the tip, I try all of the options (one way, spool, diff) and I finaly got a good set-up for this track...I kind of like the one way better. the problem on last sunday was my engine....the air temperature drop a lot when we start running the mains and my engine got lean... ....the good thing is that I was able to drop my times 1.5 seconds compare to 2 weeks ago when my car was pushing a lot.

Also we are doing our little club of G4/G4s, currently we are 5 people running G4's at this track , so if someone in this forum is in the DC/VA/MD come down to 301 raceway.

check the track on this video
http://www.cwhits.com/video.html wait a little bit for the video to start,

Is there an electronic version of the G4S manual that can be downloaded? If so, could I get the URL please? I was looking for it at the Team Magic site, but couldn't find it.

Thanks!

1) Did you turn down the brake on the transmitter? If so, how far?
What was surprising is that I dont use a lot of brake.
2) How much drag was applied? If you pushed the car by hand with the tx/rx on and the engine off, how much did the car move?
Car moves about 15cm or so.

3) Were you running on a technical track or sweeping track?
our track is average with a 26/28sec a fast lap.
4) About how many times per lap were you off-throttle?
there is 2 hard breaking points and 4 not so hard .
5) How many times per lap did you have to press the brake?
only 2 hairpins where we have to brake hard.
6) About how much throttle did you have to apply before the brake was disengaged? (i.e. 1/8, 1/4)
Brake disengaged just off idle before clutch engages.

I think it was something I didnt notice before and must have had brakes setup incorrect at some time or other.
But its sorted out know and I will keep an eye on it in future.

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately not.
I tried scanning the manual to a pdf file but it was so large was not practical to upload.
Then again I am no pc expert

That track looks fast and very flowing with a few tight sections.
What I would do to have a run there

Default M1B fuel cap transplantation

i transplantated M1B Fuel Cap Part to my G4S

the transplantated part is aluminum nipple, aluminum nut, orange fuel cap O-ring.

- aluminum 7075 nipple,nut -> lightweight effect.

- nipple has more big inside diameter than G4S Stock's => stable fuel supply expect

- orange fuel cap O-ring more soft than G4S's => it can avoid fuel leak more stable.

But M1B Fuel Cap Part is not sold.

take away M1B Fuel Cap Part from offload RC Friend!!! ^^
