You don't have a digicam, do you?

Then the Serpent ones will fit no problem. I dont have a digital any more. Last one got stolen. But my dad has got a nice new Fuji which I hope to get off him next Sunday when he is back from holidays. Planning on snapping a lot of quality pictures of my Serpent and heavily modified yokomo.

Look forward to seeing the pics!!

For the moment I thought you meant the outdrive as being the part where you fit into the 10x15x4 bearings at the steering knuckles (801215 or 801214)...

NOTE: both servo savers are upside down on the table
PS: No it isn't the D1

Now who says you don't have any pics? We make exceptions even if they are non D1 pics
Anyway, your Ixus pic revealed that your battery plug connector is kinda broken. Better fix it before you get into trouble with the connectors going bad...

If it is touching, then you will certainly have to modify the servo saver.
Cheers, Mark.

Mark,
Going back to the solid diff problem, you were having:
I live in Miami, FL - home of SerpentUSA... The team drivers were testing both the solid diffs and one-ways in the Prop prototype a good 6 months before the Pro was released. This was where I heard about several Impact parts that were being used on the Impulse, most visible of which was the rear anti-roll bar setup as now used on the 705. Based on the above, it would be a good bet that the Impact driveshafts will be the trick to solve that problem. Like I said earlier, it would be nice if Serpent's cross-reference list for parts compatibility were better.

Anyway, the problem will only arrise (like Mark's) if one were to use the FC steering blocks with a solid front diff (as well as a front gear diff too I believe) as these steering blocks are offset out quite a bit. I do believe with the older steering blocks, they do not pose this problem with a solid front axle.
I believe Serpent overlooked on that one about using solid front axle with the FC steering blocks on the 705 just like when they announced that the Impulse front gear diff cannot be used on the 705
