Loving it so far though!

What is everyone running for tire stagger? I have been cutting to 64r and 62f. By the end of warmup and a qualifier, they are both at about 61. Is this the norm? It was like that with 37's, 40's and 42's. If I were running a long main, I would be on rim by the middle of the race. Running the 24t front pulley.

I'm new to the car and it's been 8 years since I've ran on road so please be patient with me, lol!
Joe,
I checked out all the posted setup sheets on Mugen's website and it looks like everyone is running a 2mm split between F and R with a 25T pulley.

I'll try the 25 next time. It's looking like rain this weekend.

I still have my two MTX6 cars available, one is brand new, the other one was my racecar and is in good shape.
Located in Europe, but shipping to Aus is not a problem.

Going to be attending the glc for the first time at the end of the month. Can anyone help me with a starting setup and gearing for a picco emx-r? The more info the better.

So I ran it again this weekend. With the 25t front pulley. Still really bad rear tire wear. Will the 26t make rear tires wear more or less?

It might just be that the track is a tire eater? But is everyone getting fairly even tire wear?

At my local track if they do not prep the track with VHT, tire wear is more on the rears. So I run 35/37 with VHT, 35/40 with soda prep, but sauce the tires for similar grip.

Will still have more rear wear, but not more than 1mm over 15m run.

What is your shock setup?

600 all around, 1 hole in front, 2 hole in back, black springs. Pretty much kit setup. I moved holes a little.

I wore a set of rears from 64.5 to about 1 mm of foam left in about 30 minutes of run time. The fronts went from 62.5 to 59 during this same time. That was with 35f, 37r.

Try using the new 3x1.1 pistons with 800 oil front and rear. I used this setup with the old purple springs and it was a big improvement on tire wear. I also always use a 37 shore front and rear. I never liked having a softer front tire.

I'll give it a try, thank you.

So the main features of the MTX-6R is the chassis and the new rear bulkheads to move the camber links in, anyone see anything else? Looks like the carry handle was moved forward a little bit also.
