Re: Re: Re: MTX3 PROSPEC WITH FRONT SOLID AXLE

It has a built-in finger type clutch that will engage and lock the diff housing at certain high speed. during low speed, it'll act as a normal diff.

best,

WHAT TIRES ARE YOU USING CURRENTLY, RUBBERS OR FOAMS. WHAT HARDNESS.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY SLIPPERY SURFACE: DUSTY TRACK, PARKING LOT, CONCRETE, ASPHALT, WET SURFACE, ETC.

16/19 side belt

Does anyone know of any other brand of side belt that will work for the conversion? I really don't want to search through the entire thread. Guys at my track need some soon since the sedan nats are in a couple weeks and there are no Kawahara belts to be found. We have tried the ones off of ebay, but we are looking for something a little better. Thanks for any help!!

The one from the Traxxas 4-Tec fits too. But it seems a little tight to me. BUt it does fit perfectly. Here's something else you might wanna try. This weekend, I put a Serpent 23t in the front pully and ran the stock belt. I was pretty pleased with it, although I do wanna test it some more. Witht he 23t, you don't have as much internal drag as with the 16/19 and the car rolls more freely. The tire wear wasn't as even as with the 16/19, but it is better than stock. With the 23t, you get a 1.00 OD ratio with a 2.5 split. Give it a try, if anything you just have one more tuning option. Good Luck
