(1) Couldn't find a place to put the reciever???? I was thinking of that Hasimoto one you have or another peice of CF like what the G4 has. The Mugen has no room to put it......

(2) Finding another gas tank besides the Mugen. The Mugen's tank is made so you can only add the battery to the left side. I'll need to make the battery fit to right for better weight balance. I was going to use the G4. But heck the car will look like a G4.

Maybe some of you guys can give me some ideas......... I was also going to wait and adapt using some of the "RRR" parts

Maybe try fitting the receiver on the left side of the car? (looking from the rear) ....below the upper deck. THis way, it is protected by the pipe, and looks better

ok guys give me some ideas and I'll try to make a prototype. It might look like a "RRR", though. I also found graphite in different colors. gold, red, and blue...

I was thinking of that B but I thought that might be some wiring problems..... Below...... See I'll have to wait till the "RRR" gas tank is out. Then I can use the same placement of the battery. If I move the battery I have to make a chasis and that's just toooo much work.

i dont think the MTX-3 battery can fit below the RRR tank without raising the CG even higher. (the mtx-3 battery is taller than the one used on the RRR)

I believe one of the complaints about the RRR is already that the CG of the tank is too high.

So, maybe using the G4 tank would achieve an even lower CG than the MTX-3.

Personally, I dont mind if it will look like a G4. Hey, whatever works right?

See that's what was killing me. Every time I came up with a idea I had to move the battery. Once the battery was moved. I had to think of a new chasis. I wanted to be able to use the same battery placement.  :weird: :weird:

true.

I dont think you can use any tank without changing the battery placement (maybe the RRR one, but the CG will be high).

hehe, come to think of it, the MTX-3 tank is the best:sneaky:

Even the MRX-3 tank is not completely centered. The bottom part still offsets to one side.

Nitropimp 05-24-2004 01:17 PM

yeah after looking at the "RRR" tank. Man... it is high..... Real high.

I had all good ideas but when I went to make the cut out they wouldn't work. Like you said be the Mugen's tank is good. It would look better centered. But the car's balanced. If I want to lay down the servo it would be cheaper to just get the charge conversion. But I really wanted to get the cool graphite colors....... Heck I should just order some and make the same upper deck but in differnet colors. That would be easy. Huh????:weird:

pic of the "RRR" tank. Hell that thing is high as the motor almost.

I agree. It is a good design.

Why not? I have the MTX-3 new chassis that we can just "immitate", but of course make it better than stock one. If you are interested, just send me those colored cf ones, and I'll have them cut.

I've seen the Slide's upperdeck, and it looks very nice...
