thats no mtx-3 look at the where the wheels go it looks like the 1/8 scale quick tire change design

Nitropimp 05-24-2004 03:42 PM

Hudy you crack me up.

It is a 1/8 a SMP slide. We are talking aobut the upper deck. How it's blue Carbon Fibre. And wouldn't it be cool to have a MTX-3 like it. That's all.

Should I get the 2mm and maybe save some weight or should I get the 3mm and have it the upper plate beefier????? Three color choices silver, gold and blue....

maybe you could reduce the weight by cutting more holes in the upper deck like the KAI upper deck. The downside is that it will be weaker in strength. However, with the right cut outs, I think it could work, and at the same time, look sexier.

Just arrived from my weekend racing 600km away from home...
An more-or-less important race for me... I was using my third engine...

My car was running fine with 40/40 tyres, but then when entering the high speed sweeper i might have gotten my trigger to the neutral(I found that after the race) as I was using drag brakes, (which I am not very used to) my rear end slipped a little bit then the car flipped over... Results: Broken wing + broken rear bearing;

At this time(as I didn't have enought time to work on the setup) I fitted some 45 tyres at the front, but at this time I needed to get plenty of Dual Rate for some turns, but wasn't flipping...

I suppose I should try to get my rear end more bite when entering the turn so i can run on 40/40 tyres...

Or maybe, make my rear end slip more and use 45/40 tyres...

Any ideas/comments/suggestions/anything?

PS: for the results, as It rained before de B Main(I jumped straight to the A Main - Roar style), I ended up with a 6th place overall... not bad for an improvised 45tyre half a minute before the qual.

No comments on my post?

What springs are you using?

I sometimes run the Gray rear springs with the lt Blue front springs, That lets the rear steer a little.

But since i've gotten the new Blue springs, I use them all around.

i'll try again rear toe 3deg. is that total or 3deg per side have hudy setup jig and would like to know

Grinder 05-24-2004 05:50 PM

When someone says they run 3 degrees of rear toe that means 3 degrees on each side left and right. Same with camber, castor, ect..

oh yeah... I'm with the dark blue all around...

I usually dial my car with the rear roll center... but this time it seems that got on the edge... I'm planning to stick up with the 45/40 tyres and just get the rear roll center a little lower so i get more steering...

I would love if this car had front roll center adjustment...

cheers...
