A long rod motor is more of torque motor because it had more dwell time. The piston stays at TDC longer. Were as a short rod motor will be more of a rpm oriented motor. It will not necessary make more RPMs,but it should make more power at higher rpms then a long rod motor. Its kinda hard to explain.Hopefully Dennis will explain it better.

Here is a link that describes the long rod-short rod theories. The article is on car engines but it will give you the idea.

Your right.

On our twistier track the MT has the advantage whereas the RB has the advantage on our faster flowing tracks. That tells me (now after I have woken up) that the MT produces more torque.

Thanks Craig.

Want compound of tires does the MTX3 like? On the NTC3 where we race it liked 40 on all four corners.

i would think the tires you were using before would probably work provided the front and rear compounds were different like grp foam
i know i plan to run 40 front and rear in spring maybe 42 in summer
the kit comes with 37 and the car was dailed for me running on a loose parking lot track im sure 40 will work on my normal track
