Stefan, that engine of Uriah's ain't THAT fast, he was making time on me in the twisty bits but I was pullin' him down the backstraight with a Munan Sirio. I know , I know you hate Trinity... but I got mine for $149...:D

stefan 10-03-2003 05:25 AM

Chuck,

you and somebody else I know:D are judging engine performance solely by the top speed at the end of the backstretch.

Gearing has a lot to do with this. My car for example has the shortest possible gearing and small tires, even for the good sized Sugar Bowl track.

You are pulling on me as well at the end of the straight, but I'm faster in the infield, just like Uriah.

Now where do we spend more time, straight or infield?;)

me on the bench, trying to figure out why the car does not handle the way I want, and when the track is covered with dust from the off-road track nearby!:flaming:

Hmm, which track is Eddie referring to? Hmmmm.... setup has been real tricky there lately so don't feel bad, it changes a lot day to day, hour by hour.

Stefan, he says he pulls me on the backstretch, but our cars are exactly equal in speed. I consider pulling someone to mean you are faster. Oh well. I tried to show him my tires had less than 1mm of rubber left, and his had a good bit more, this makes a big difference in top speed. His Sirio is very fast, probably even more torque than my NS, but it has nothing for the top speed of the NS. Don't get me wrong I like my Sirio's just as much as the NS, the two just have different powerbands. Are you comming with us to FL Chuck?

Are you going too?

Then I guess it's gonna be a small crowd on Sunday.

Are you going to the Winter Nats. next year?

Even the glow plug charger was at 12volts!!! LOL..

G

think you answered this in your first post, did you not say your mate just rewired it????

Red 5,

Trinity doesnt make Sirios, they just distribute them in the US. Sirio makes Sirios. So why hate Trinity for your fast engine?

stefan 10-04-2003 10:23 AM

I despise Trinity for what they are doing to this hobby here in the US and that means that I won't buy anything that makes Trinity money.

Easy enough?

Btw, you can buy Sirio engines in HK without feeding Ernie;)

BossPlaya 10-04-2003 12:35 PM

Stefan, I was agreeing with your sentiment. So yes, its easy enough to understand, like you said, you can bypass Trinity by purchasing online.
