Guys the pack is the easy part, just look at rjl's post on this page and you will see the solution
|
looks like thats why they call it an OEM part then!!!
|
Give your local hobby store a call and give them this part number (B0217)
If they don't have in stock they can order them for you. I'll call around and make sure they are aware of what extra items are needed for this kit. |
Got mine today,
ok i have some questions will the standard flywheel (mtx2) fit if you use the mtx2 mounts and line up ok? take it the kawahara one will. next were in uk run rubber so to loose the 2mm offset in the wheels we will turn out the pivot balls 2mm so the 2mm longer shafts should fit when on rubber we used to have front tyres harder than rear but now run same rubber front and rear but a harder insert. Has any one tried rubber tyres ? think the main thing is to have a front diff. oh and we mainly use Take off tyres. |
Sorry I screwed up on earlier post use harder insert in front than rear, also the tires to use are Yokomo 138G's or Sorex 36r's.
Sorry I never had the pleasure of running take offs.:) |
The clutch the car comes with fits very well.
You will need to check that rims do not bind as the rims supplied have about 1.5mm offset to clear the knuckles. You will need diff internals for the front diff. Don't worry about gearing, it is just fine. |
The Mugen starter box will work fine you don't have to change anything on your starter box from one car to the other.
The MTX-2 flywheel is to large because of the lower motor mounts on the new car. Yes the Kwahara flywheel will work. Using front diff with rubber sounds good, but you need a few things that don't come in the kit. C0228 diff gears T0202 out drive cups T0207 front diff gasket |
Tuned Pipe
Hi,
I got my MTX3 kits today, but no tuned pipe? is this correct? I thought the kits came with a tuned pipe? Many Thanks |

Originally posted by rjl I found the MTX2 doggies are about 2mm longer, put 'em in the front. The front wheels make a nasty clicking sound when spun with any steering on. Need CVs urgently! also has anyone tried their old gandini foams with 0 offset 26 or 30mm rear - do they rub ?? |
Originally posted by Manticore Yesterday was the first racing day for MTX3 here and it was an international invitation race. Barry Baker and some of the top asian drivers were here too. There were 5 MTX3 in the final. Barry was TQ (as usual). one V1R, one serpent one GT4 and one impulse pro. Barry has got clutch gear problem. and the japanese guy with V1R got 1st place. MTX3 was at 3rd place and the thai guy with serpent 705 second with 1/2 lap faster then MTX3. The track was a football worn out asphalt surface and it is fair to everybody as it was not carried out at a permanent track here. It is always at the TX side to determine the winner but it is a kind of indication from the population of the MTX3 in the final where MTX3 has only 2 weeks age. i guess some ppl still have faith in the v one r:smile: hey manticore, do u know wat engines everyone was running(or wat engine the v one r driver was running?) |
