That is exactly what JP did to the S5, only adding the silicon. That is only major noticeable mod you will see in the JP. Just to make sure you don't get the wrong idea, i am not a fan of any of the 2 brand, actually as long as its a good product. i don't really care what brand. i know that the JP RS12T is pretty fast, but this 5port is not worth the money..;)

of cos, JP opened up the carb like Rody. Hmm...but the JP is like 20 bucks more than the Rody here, so cost is not a factor here. So ME u have a Rody in your car i suppose?

ME-student 05-11-2003 12:47 AM

yup, there are also a few Rody 5port owners in this forum. I am sure they will agree...

Where'e the switch?? I didn't opt for the CF mount because I know a couple of guys with the combo transponder mount/switch mount from Just RC, and they have problems with the transponder not counting all the time. The transponder directions say it has problems transmitting through CF or graphite, but they tried it anyway and are having problems. If that mount was made of plastic, it would be perfect!!

Novarossi 52604 'In-Line' with the stinger drilled at 5.1mm for high speed under EFRA/ROAR/IFMAR rules and RB 1700-201 with 1700-193 manifold cut at 102mm for low-end and high grunt under EFRA/ROAR/IFMAR rules.

If you want to go outlaw, then my best bet for high speed tracks is the ZAC project pipe with 7mm stinger.

Thanks :) I guess that would make the stinger a little weaker. Just wondering if I should do anything to mine.

Thanks,

I used the nitro shoes in zreo degrees and they work just fine. I also used several different brand foams ( speedmind, nitro shoes (0 degrees), orion foams, ennitti (sp), and TRC and they all seem to work the same for me. The major difference that comes to play is how you true the foams and what diameter your truing them down to. I ususally true my foams down to 60.5 to 62.5mm.

I've tried many different brands of foams (Ellegi, New Arrows, Jaco, Yokomo, Enetti,Zac), some better some worse. Whatever the brand you choose, stick with the same brand, because a 40sh from one brand couldn't be a 40 on another brand.

Found that Jaco Nitroshoes are more prone to glueing problems (blew 2 rear sets in one morning). Found that Ellegis and Yokomos are more prone to shore weirdness (bought 4 sets of 41's and found one was a 39, 2 sets of 43 and one of 45). Finally decided to use only Ennetis and Zac when tyre wear is a problem (hell!, those japanese foams wear like iron).

Whats the word on the mugen fast tires? can i take their shore ratings to the bank?
