i decided to go with the regular mtx 3 kit instead of the pro spec kit, even though the kit is a litmited edition i'm gonna use the extra cash on a kick A$$ engine,
are the nova's being shipped by mugen yet, has anyone seen any prices? are there any must have or nice to have upgrades for the mtx3? |

Gentleman81: Good choice either way. I already have an kick a$$ engine that I still need to break in :D
Varuth: Just an guess from an engineer  Throttle punch - instantaneous reaction from the engine on addition of throttle input. Throttle curve - the overall reaction of the engine throughout the throttle range. Could be different, noone has used these terms around me before. |
If you intend racing, front uni's are good to have, lightened cluth weights are a must. Get yourself the new tank lid, in fact get a couple, it's the only way to get replacement "O" rings without buying a new tank and they deteriorate.
Get yourself 5mm i.d and 3mm i.d. shim sets, more costly but the Kyosho one comes in three thicknesses, you need most of the 5mm shims for correct clutch assembly but also added dust shields for the brake cam and steering post bearings. The rear arms have more end float than they need so fix it during the assembly. During assembly here are a few things to pay attention to. ( You guys should all add to this with your own experiences) Do not overtighten the grub screws holding the front lower hinge pin, it will bind if you do. When installing the brake pins into the chassis make sure the serrations in the pins do not face the brake pad. Roughen the ends of the pins that support the brake pads and use some cyano to make sure they will not come out of the bulkhead. |

mckrooz, hmm but then what is the point if you have to true down the front? From what im getting here is:
stock belts- wear rear tire faster conversioin - wear fronts faster  |

The front is overdriven. You must run smaller fronts to achieve 1:1 ratio.
