Forgot completely this. The paper gasket is on the same bag you get the manuals and the foam bumper, so take care and look closely on those bag.

has anyone tried harder springs in the rear?
I race with blue up front and gray rear on my MTX3.
Others race with gray up front and white rear.

Large track and same shore foams front and rear. 37 of 40 depending on weather

Thanks

Thank you guys for all the tips. It seems that the brake is giving something to talk about. I might order one from Justrc like Jason did.

About the springs between the pads, I used them some time ago in my HPI :D It works good and is easy to make one using a pen spring.

diff case leak

`when you tighten the screws that hold the diff cases together the plastic is beeening pulled out and not letting the cases set
flush pre-assemble the diif halfs then take them apart ,deburr
the holes ,then reassemble .for insurance ,coat the gasket with
silcone and let dry before assembling ,
you,ll get some leaks but that will be coming out of the outdrives
you can put some mugen grease on the o-rings before putting the washer and pin on and that should fix that problem.
:D

5th body post

some one asked about it!
do you want to know how to make one like this?
http://www.mark.christopher.btintern...hbodymount.jpg

use the front shock tower as a template and cut out the bottom mount the mount holes are a perfect match for the front bulkhead mounts. then atach a body post, the one shown is a Losi part.
hope this helps!

it makes the front of the body very stiff and well suported.

By the moment, my 'hardest' setup on foams and springs have been gray/gray for the springs (w/80 wt oil) and 42's foams. Have here harder, but hadn't needed to switch to stiffer springs (until now), but heard of people that put pink and red rear springs (terrific...)

BTW: What's the difference between Pink and Red rear springs? have two but all two are the same ratings.

kevink2 04-02-2003 03:29 PM

Pink is a bit softer... don't know why they have the same rating.

Racing4Evo 04-02-2003 06:52 PM

The PINK is harder than the RED despite the fact that coil thickness is identical.

max911 04-02-2003 09:09 PM

just got my first mtx3....
what engine should i buy to get best performance?

al 04-02-2003 09:16 PM

if the rating is the same i would assume that they have a different number of coils

Just picked up a MTX-3. I know that keeping it stock is ideal, but if there's any hop-ups for the car that is worth getting ?? Thx in advance gang.

Hey all,

With the season coming up for us in chicago, and school almost over, im about to place my order at speedtech for spare parts

With extras would you guys not go to the track without? unfortunately my track is discontinuing mugen parts......-tear- so any help is much apreciated

jason102276 04-03-2003 06:04 AM

front uprights and one way outdrives

Nytrochaos 04-03-2003 06:23 AM

whats the status on the front arms? ive been driving fora while with the car when im home on break, but no racing. have people been finding that they break?

jason102276 04-03-2003 06:34 AM

i dont think they will break

i never broke a front arm in 2 years racing my mtx2

but i do have a spare set anyway

no matter what spares you have if your luck is like mine whatever you dont have will be first to break
