Track was so bumpy that if you go with smaller tyres you got problems with the chassis bottoming out (no matter whatever you did with droop adjustment) :deathstar .

I didn't discarded, kept all the sets I used for another time (here there are tracks where you need to start at 62mm or lower). :D

i am running ackerman B.
so far it works for me in both big and small technical tracks.

:deathstar

pepe i think you should use the A ackerman

correct me if im wrong guys that is the one with the most aggressive steering

pepe races with me on a really tight and technical track where i am always trying to get more steering

I know that I run on a different track but I found that by using B Ackerman was better as I found A gave to much steering.

Hey people...

I will be getting an MTX-3 in the next month or two...

i just had a few questions:
1. How strong is the car ? ? is it as strong as say a v one rr ?
2. What spares should i get when i buy the car ? whats most likely to break if something does break ?
3. do you have any tips in building the kit ?

please dont tell me to read the whole thread i dont have time :(

i think i will be getting the rody X12 for it so this car should be fun :D

TBR 04-15-2003 05:28 PM

The MTX-3 is the Bomb!
It goes hard right out of the box.

Only building tip I suggest is shave a little of the brake pads so they dont bind up and feel tight when pushing the car along.

Spares
I suggest just things like rear swing arms and front A arms

also what gearing comes with the car ? ? the track i race on has a huge straight so i might need to buy some taller gears

Yep, depends on your track of course, but the A ackerman is pretty aggressive.

I think its 17/20 correct me people if I am wrong. I use 17/21 and change the spur gears from 47/43 to 46/42
hope this helps

Yeah,

What blocks do you run in the rear A, B or C
Have you experimented with having different ones?
