i installed the mugen 4mm chassis on my car tonight and its sweet

i wish it had come with the brake stopper piece that screws in instead of the pins anyone know where i can get one?

and my engine mounts i got from justrc with the other chassis might have fit but i noticed the screw heads would have stuck out below the chassis i really wanted to use them too

i also had to remove the spacers i put to lower the tank

luckily my servo still fits under the upper deck

there is almost no room at all under engine and i am not sure i can even slide a piece of paper under the throttle servo

and i noticed when i was done installing it after removing the chassis from justrc i had to lower the ride height a couple of mm

this is an awesome chassis

do any of the aftermarket aluminum radio tray supports fit without modification?

My rubber setup is pretty good right now(about 75%) but i'm still working on it. It's not too far from the stock setup though.

Just tell him what you want and he'll reply you the same day. Prompt and fast service.

go for the Sato Seiki radio Plate support, you only need to file away the edges just a little to make it fit. It took just few seconds.

File away both sharp edges on the right while only front sharp edge of left will do.

Wondering if someone could help me with the diminsions of the Battery tray on the MTX3. And much space there is from the chassis to the bottom of the fuel tank.

Thanks

-I am also looking for a good rubber tire setup.

- I unfortunateky bought the kit WITHOUT the engine so I'm having a difficult time picking an engine and pipe. Any suggestions? I don't know who to believe anymore.

Please post away ;)

My mistake guys but I forgot to mention that this problem also occurs with the radio tray support from JustRC as well. They are both from the company 3Racing you will encounter the same problem.

Much depends on your skills, the amount of money and your local rules. Choose of pipe depends too on the layout of your local track, tell us about and you get an answer.

Uhm.... are you sure that this setup isn't for an MTX2?

Isn't this a foam set up?

The one track I'm going to go to has no regulations on engines short of a .21

I'm actually new to the race scene and also do a lot of parking lot bashing/racing with friends.

My kit's still in the mail from Ultimate Hobbies. Does the kit come with the manifold? I know it has NO engine or NO pipe.

Was considering the following:

Sirio .12 legal or outlaw (not sure which pipe)
RB Concepts .12 X12 w/x12 pipe
Mugen .12 MT Turbo or MR roar legal (which is faster? not sure which pipe)
OS .12 TR Turbo (not sure which pipe)

Also still looking for a rubber setup since I have a ton of rubber tires and wheels laying around.

Have you guys fowled up your belts much? I'm coming from a NTC3 background.

Help ;)

Thanks,
Puma
