Indeed not allowed but to be sure of that the IFMAR decided 2 months ago to work with hand out tires. Only 5 tire brands are there.....

I believe Hara, Shimo or Jilles will take it.

Well if first practice times are anything to go by, it's going to be an almost all Japanese final with only Vejrak to mess them up. Mack, Groskamp and Moore are close. Of course it's only one practice, things can and will change.

2nd practice round, Hara found some speed (16.3). Groskamp was a surprise, ran 16.6-16.8 (good but not great) the whole time only to bust out a 16.2 near the end. Fastest lap I have seen yet.

none of the racers did not go because of the rules. There is a lot more than us non participants know about unless you talk personally to the best drivers in the world or over heard a rumor why they did not go and your not going to share what they told you on the internet unless your not a friend and if you do then you probably lost your friendship with them. A lot of A and B main Finalist don't come on a website and talk so it's all hear say.....

cars look a little loose or pushy on the vids, even playing field....

For those who watched some of the video on youtube....does anyone know are those 1/5th scale TIRES that they gathered for the divider and at the pit lane....? As well as the pit screening columns......man, there were like a million of those tires all over the track, pretty darn cool..........
