2pcs Centrifugal Shoe
Hi to all!
Has anybody try running 2pcs Centrifugel Shoe instead of 4pcs in your engine clutch system?
If yes,what is the feeback?Thanks!

2 shoe or 4 shoe should not matter just as long as it fits. I'm running Ofna parts with the MTX4 clutch-bell and pinnion gears. You would have better performance with the 4 shoe setup.

Guys question about the MTX4 build, approx. how long should the exposed part be of the upper and the lower ball screw for the front upper and lower a-arms connection to the knuckle arms as shown in the pic, i used the mtx-3 front universal joint but when i screw in the ball screw so that the thread are all imbedded in the a-arms and exposing only the smooth part, it feels hard to turn the knuckle arms. Just started the build last night but i managed to do the front suspension only, will continue it tonight. Thanks..

Something to look out for and inspect after every race.
Rear lower arm hinge pin inserts. If you push down on your chassis and hear a click, or you hold your car off the ground and rev the engine, you might hear a "click" or a feel a thump in the car when the engine comes back to idle. You will need to check these often.

K617: There isn't a correct amount to turn in the pillow balls. How much they go in depends on how wide you want to run your front end and what offset wheel you are using. I found when using the Mugen 2mm offset wheels and running the front end narrower than 199mm that the MTX3 front universals would bottom out and bind inside the oneway outdrives. I am currently using MTX3 rear universals on the front of MTX4. Before you change anything put on your front tires and use a caliper to measure the width of your front end. If you don't understand, ask again and I will show you a picture of my car with the calipers as well as the length difference of the two different universals.
rcfoolz: Did you break one of adjustable roll center hinge pin bushings? Mugen uses a similar system on the MBX5 and not too long after somebody was making brass bushings.
Gixxer: I don't know if I am ever really ready for a race.
I got two new engines this week and I hope to get some gas through them before I get there. This is the perfect race to test new engines. While I have never been to Crystal Park, I have been told by SEVERAL racers that whatever setup I come up with on my home track will work well at Crystal Park. Revelation is a unique place and I wouldn't count on using a Revelation setup anywhere else except Revelation. I had a good test day last weekend and weather permitting will get a good test day in here tomorrow. Hopefully I will have something dialed for Crystal. I need to since I told a couple east coast Mugen drivers they are going down like a couple of $2 hookers.
