I believe the Yokomo 32mm wheels are an offset wheel. Thats why they fit.
The rules have recently been changed to a maximum wheel and tyre size of 30mm. Yokomo was selling the 32mm tyres a long time before the change of rules.
Yokomo may develop a new 30mm wheel and tyre to suit the rules. But this doesn't help me because I cant get the Yokomo foams anyway.

The Yok tires are offset. You can also try the Jaco's they work to. As for the rule change you can always buy the 32mm and cut them down to 30mm.

What shock oil weight and piston are you guys using on your GT-4?

The GT-4 uses a zero offset wheels for front and rear. The Yok 32mm rear wheels were designed long before the new rules came out. Yokomo is currently working on the new 30mm wheels (new wheel design too) that will be available later this year. I believe you can use any 30mm wheels as long as the offset is zero and the wheel height is 50mm.

Getting a new radio
Hey guys,
Great forum here!! I am new to the Nitro scene and have just picked up a GT4 from one of my buddies. He wouldn't throw in a radio so I want to get another radio before I go out on the track. What do you guys use? I also want to get another radio for one of my other cars. Any suggestions?

are there any neccisary hopups for the gt4w to be competitive? I really want to get a gt4 soon. i am selling my rs4 3ss on rczone if any of you are wanting to trade your gt4 for a ss. I really want the gt4 r but dont know if i can afford it after my car sells. lmk

I urge you to get the GT4 Pro or GT4R. Its only $40-$50 more but you get over $200 worth of upgrades.
I bought my GT4W 2 years ago and overall, it needs work. I sold it about 6 months ago and now drive a GT4R.
The GT4W needs a stronger 7075 chassis, belt tensioner, threaded shocks, F/R swaybars to be truly competitive.

Maybe i will just go balls to the walls and get the pro. It is a sweet looking ride. The track by my house carries a bunch of yok parts so it would be cool to have such a supported car.
What engine should i look into getting? I was thinking an mt.12 would be good or the os .12 tr (because i really like the os engines compared to novarrossi)

Actually i think i will go with the gt4 r because it has a body and foams. My lhs sells them for 289.00 and the pro for 269.00
cant wait to be a member of the gt4 thread. How are the instructions on the gt4 r? Are there any little tricks i should know about when building it? Is there anything i should go out and buy right away when i get the car, or is it pretty much ready for racing?

MT12 and OS .12TR are great engines. As always, OS engines are super reliable and easy to tune. I've had about 6-7 of them. The Nova engines will last a bit longer but a bit trickier to tune. They are slightly more faster than OS engines though.
I currently run an MT12 in my GT4R but did once run a OS .12CVR in my GT4W. Both engines performed great.
Just remember to make sure which car suits your track better. For larger high traction tracks, go for the R. For tight tracks with low traction, the Pro is a better choice.
The Yokomo kits go together pretty well. Everything fits good and is molded perfectly. I would recommend picking up some snap ring pliers to install the spurs on the 2 speed and a set of Dynamite's metrix hex wrench set.

Well that is where i am kind of in the middle because i go to a super high traction tight course. So what should i go with. I think i want the R. I think i am going to get the os .12 tr as well. What crank does the car accept?
