BTW, my FW05R was dialed Saturday night. I am going to try running that car again.
You should've seen my chassis! I had like 30 deg. of front kickup, more than a buggy . Alex said he could bend it back and ended up breaking it.

To Alex- I told you so!

Alex had glitching problems with his M8 at Hesperia, Crystal Park and Revelation. The same happend to Robert. They both switched to the Helio and the glitch went away.

When are you coming back? Ken ran the FW last time and he looked better than usual.

Are you going to get the chassis from Japan? A bunch of new parts just came on the market:

VZ201-1 V-One RRR Steering Knuckle 1 degree
VZ201-2 V-One RRR Steering Knuckle 2 degree
VZW208 V-One RRR FRP battery plate
VZW211 Titanium diff bevel gear shaft
VZW212 V-One RRR FRP middle plate (belt tensioner holder)
VZW213 V-One RRR Lightweight Pinion Holder
VZ230B Revised RRR upper deck.

Time to place an order!

Yeah I'm going to get the WC edition as a second car but I wil have to get those titanium bits. Is that the diff outdrives? Those 2 degree hubs are just what I'm looking for too!

No, not the outdrives but the shafts inside the diff that holds the bevel gears. Reduces rotating mass.

Oh, I don't need those. We are all having problems with the outdrives and notching. Some more serious than others. You can just flip the diff over after one side notches but it's only a psuedo fix.

Hey, I am building my RRR right now. I'm on step 26, building the two speed, but the second gear housing is real tight over the plastic changer. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it?

I have the same problem and I just replace the outdrive frequently. I don't mind so much as it's easy to take the diff out. Besides, if Kyosho make them with harder material than I would be replacing the CVDs instead. That's a lot more expensive.

Speaking of the CVDs, you should check for the wear on the wheel shaft side as well. You might have to re-assemble the CVD and put the pin in the other set of holes because of notching.

You might have the grub screws tightened too much. If it's not excessive, it will go away after a few tanks of running. Just give the car time to break in. The second gear housing built in to the actual spur gear is one of my gripes about the car, the other being the tank of course.

I hope so too! Is there any truth to that rumor? You can't even get shock towers for the FW-05R/05T anymore.

Check to see that theres no burrs in the housing......i had some very slight ones around the holes and fixed them with some steel wool.
Cheers
