Default PROJECT: Nitro kart ..... turnigy ... NEW VIDEOS :)

G'day guys now for sumthing a lil different :P ... basicly saw on the hobbyking.com website they made a 1/4 brushless kart that look pretty trick .. being that i live and breath go-kart racing and raced for 10yrs and still very involved i thought this would be a sick project to turn into nitro ..

that is how it came ... BL motor on it and only needing a esc and radio gear.. but

next step was to mock up the engine.. i went for a JAMMIN P/S .12 for the simple fact i had one new on my shelf gathering dust and it worked out great because of how the exhaust bends round..

i did buy a chain drive set up off the kyosho kart to run but when this kart got here i worked out the spur gear was the same pitch as the clutch bell so i changed how i was gunna mount it ... right behind the seat..

It all looks pretty cool, only problem I see is that the engine is going to overheat if its behind the driver.

lol yeah yeah i no its pretty much touching him ... might notch out his back a lil to save the thing catching fire ... all in good time did all this just today soo , see where i end up with it

and i might drill a heap of holes in his cheast and back soo air gets through to coool the engine but only if it is over heating .

well the plan is to use a shortened mbx6 break set up ( only one side ) and use a hub and break disk of another car .. il start working on the breaks soon maybe next week .. waiting for my alloy 14mm hex f104 hubs to come first and also i might have to run another servo just for the breaks . gunna be a lil bit of a stuff around but , itl all work in the end ..

yeah thats the VORTEX reed in my display pic its a monster .. but i blew it up a few months ago and dads still got to rebuild it for me ... i have not been out testing in a kart for a while cos the weather's been bad and dads been flat out building a historic 80's-early90's TWIN engine kart ... front breaks the whole nineyards .. that will be the next thing il take out to have a few laps in hopfully soon ..
