I tought it was a great event.

A German won, the engine was Italian, the car Japanese, AWESOME.

I also think IFMAR did a great job of keeping everything going and didn't allow a few to spoil it for all.

Great job IFMAR!!

Btw, does anyone know how many protest there were at this event and who filed them?

Dan, nobody took second place from Balestri. He was third when they called they race. Just like in F1, when a race is stopped, the order of the lap before counts.

Maybe it is about time you Americans stop whining about not racing in some rain and drive races in the rain. Only then an IFMAR can make world wide adapted rules (like no use of tire sauce) so this race was raced until the end and did the best driver with the best preparations win.

Last time I looked, there was only one American in the race. And as he was not racing, at the time it started raining, I doubt he was whining.
I believe it was IFMAR that stopped the race, and I don't think they're it is NOT considered American.

The race is over! IFMAR has the best rules for different situations, all the top drivers are familiar with the rules and did not seem to have a problem with it..

Did you actually read what you wrote?

You want us to stop whining about not racing in some rain and drive races in the rain. DUH ??

Always get a kick out of someone complaining about other people complaining ...

NO AMERICANS IN THE FINAL !!! NO AMERICANS MAKING RULES FOR IFMAR
READ !!! HOST TRACK FOR IFMAR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

But your not alone, wanting us to stop whining about not racing in the rain jonrg agrees !!!

Tell me if you hear a pop when you pull your head out of your anal cavity

Dan that protest was always going to be hard to hold up. Fukuda went 2 secs faster than the semi with no rain in it.

i think before we start passing on critics, about the rules we should at least experience such event just once to overstand what it takes to host such event europe has their share of issues when it comes to races, so as the united States, Asia, and south America and belive me the caribbean as well ..

it was my first World championship and wont be my last , always fallowed online but i had the experience to be present, live, and race at such event

A+ for IFMAR and ROAR and All teams job well done !

The 2011 1/8 On-Road WC is over and what is going to be on the books is who/what car won and in the end Pietsch came on top with his creation.IMHO continuing the race while raining could of done more damage than good.
