If someone were to buy this, where would they go? Say they are in California and looking for an overseas shop with reasonable prices and a good reputation.

Personally I goes to Japan for business trip at least 3 times a year, and everytime I will go to Champ because they have the best selection. However, when I want to order by e-mail, I would go to Futaba Sangyo because they communicates better.

The 05R with the Kawahara conversion, and then some additional hop ups (Ti screws, front Ti pillow balls, LSD) will be very very expensive.
Interesting thought about kawahara making a car....But they have always made conversion kits (non yet so dramatic as the one they did for the 05R).....and they have been doing that for a while, so i doubt they will come out with their own car.

I have got the Kawahara chassis kit on order.
My reason is simple, Racing clockwise (as we do in the UK) I have been T-boned hard by failed passing moves, and it tends to be on the side of the pipe
(a problem I never found when running the V-one R).
The last 2 National meetings I have had 3 flattened pipes, so I now want to move the motor to the other side, hopefully to not have another flattened pipe.
My reason is simple, Racing clockwise (as we do in the UK) I have been T-boned hard by failed passing moves, and it tends to be on the side of the pipe
(a problem I never found when running the V-one R).
The last 2 National meetings I have had 3 flattened pipes, so I now want to move the motor to the other side, hopefully to not have another flattened pipe.

I race clockwise too. It's better with the pipe on the right sde of the car. If you are getting T-boned hard enough to bend your pipe then you should call those people hacks.

and i have learned from an experienced friend that having the engine on the right hand side helps with the turn in, because of the weight on the right.
The analogy he used was that motorcyclists also lean towards the side of the bike in the direction which they want to turn in.

I like it so much I have ordered some. If I get them I will post pics of the car during assembly. If I get stock it will be in about 7-10 days.
