hello guys,

just got my 733 for replacing my favorite 720.. As i am new
to the 733 platform, i am thinking how good the default setup
as a starting point. i mainly run on a flat, technical track
with quick direction changes, most of the time low-to mid traction.

Is the 720 setup applicable to the 733 chassis, or should i look for
a complete different setup?

i know the diffs are a lot smaller than the 720's , on the 720 i mainly
run 80.000 with 20.000-30.000 on the rear. What would be a good
starting point on 733?

The box setup is a very good starting point. You could also look here

from what i have heard, the new 733 will include v2 rear end parts (http://www.serpent.com/product/804222/). Some people
claim that it will also include the dls system but this is not what i have heard.

i am about in the middle of the building process, my kit came with the M nylon parts, and the kevlar(orange) belts. So far so good, with some personal comments:

1. in the front diff, i used my dremel to lower just a little bit the screws on the diff
and the pulley.

2. i had to use my dremel also on the pivot balls connecting the front roll bar
with the suspension. I lowered them about 1mm to achieve the 27mm distance recommended by the manual, and have some adjustability.

3. on the brake system, one of the 2 pins holding the springs was a little tight on the spring causing the spring to bind, so i used some fine sandpaper.

4. the rear lower suspension arms are tighter than i would like, but i left them without any modification until i run the car and see if they free a litle bit.

everything else went pretty good, alu parts have excellent fitting. i also opened the bearings and added a drop of premium lube. i like the premium
lube because its thicker than the bearing lube, and keeps bearings lubed
for a longer time.

anyone?

it is to space out one of the linkage rods , so no binding accurs.
