It looks like FM546 is a tree that includes both the long lower arms and the short upper arms for the rear, among other parts. Ashford Hobby has the upper short arms only listed as FMW306.

We are still holding the FMW306 number as active and we have received 20 or so pieces over the past several months but none in the past 45 days. I suspect this number will be discontinued as soon as the FM546 becomes available. IMO the FMW306's were a little pricey.

Now......will this conversion work with a stock 05 that is not a WCE...versus a WCE that has the different rear suspension pin holders? In other words.....I have a 05 non WCE......will I have to get the rear suspensions holders that come in the WCE kit? Thanks

Dwayne, you'll want to use the the 05 rear arm mounts (the silver mounts) at CP and Vegas anyway. I am sure the new long arms will fit, but I suppose there won't be much threads on the pivot balls showing.

Garen......so use the original silver mounts...EVEN with the 07 conversion. I didn't think it would fit with the longer rear arms.

Dwayne, someone else should answer your question about the new rear arms compatiblity with the silver (05) arm mounts. I do know that at CP and Vegas the silver arm mounts work better for me than the black arm mounts.

The instructions that come with the conversion kit say if you use the silver blocks, then use the old arms becasue the rear will be too wide with the new arms.

I cant confrim if this is true, have not installed the kit as yet.

Garen.....thanks for the info. If I need to I guess I can order the WCE blocks if needed but I can't believe how much they are....Kyosho charges Serpent prices for them!!! 8-)
