I run LiPo rx pack (different car tho). I ran them all last year and like it a lot. There are a lot of different cells available and usually not a problem finding a pack that is smaller than the NiMh pack intended for your chassis. A lot more run time than NiMh of the same rating. No voltage loss on the shelf. I use the Novak regulator that has it's own switch. Pack is lighter, so I add lead. It can be placed where wanted for slight weight bias change.
I find that the servos have more consistant power/speed with the LiPo set-up. I don't use them for the weight reduction, but in spite of it.

i use a small extension from the Rx with a mini deans plug on the end. at the end of the battery lead i soldered a mini deans plug onto that aswell.
ive found that switches fail and fall apart too easily.
i use a AAA 5cell pack.

Thanks aaron and dougday.. appreciate the info.

Thanks Aaron and duneland, I was trying to figure out a way to avoid plugging
the connector in and out of the receiver all the time. Switches scare me but I saw and bought a really cool one that has the switch and charging plug built in, it is just very big and I haven't found a good place to put it.

I was buying some new AA batteries the other day and saw a lipo pack in the case and just wondered if anyone was using them. I got some 2500's which should be just fine.

Ended up with a new radio too, it is really dangerous going to Larry's!!!!!!

Thanks again,
Ted

All,

The 07 parts and converstion kits are in at Kyosho America.

Whynot,

Sanwa, KO and JR servos have the same spline. I use dynamite hardend aluminum horns.
