Optional front drive shaft 808220
What is the difference between the stock drive shafts that come with the kit and this 808220 drive shaft? I thought the 808220 is made of spring steel, and is brown in color? I got a pair and it's black. What's with that? Thanks.

I think both the Impact and 835 4WD cars came stock with the Hudy spring steel driveshafts. Look at the productinfo of both cars on MyTSN; with the 835 it's mentioned that the Hudy driveshafts are stock, in the pics of the Impact 4WD you can see the brown shafts.
Look for 808220 at MyTSN and you will find brown-ish shafts too. Look on the Impact 4WD parts lists page at front suspension & wheelaxles and they are mentioned as 'spare' not 'optional'. The way I get it, there are no regular dogbones for the Impact/835, only the Hudy ones. My guess is the black ones just have a different finish? |

You could also smear just a little of silicone grease or silicone oil from the shocks on the main 2 speed shaft and the mid shaft where the bearings are on. That would avoid pre-mature wear and deep groove marks on the shafts. For me, I also clean all the bearings from their original grease (except the small ones in the Centax clutch and the ones that go in the steering linkage) and relube them again. |

Blue Sky, any pics? The 808220 should be spring steel stuff and should be brown in colour. They are actually 1 mm shorter than the original steel dogbones. Arent the 835 shafts longer...? |

I got a true, actually it is in layway for a few weeks, but...
I wanted to know what is the "camber" 1 and 2 deg way of cutting rear tyres is for? the truer has and adjustment there to cut at an angle... BTW i got the 3racing 1mm ofset wheels a few minutes ago and they fit perfectly and help the rubbing some. Also they seem much nicer and well crafted compared to the serpent ones. maybe 3 racing is not that bad after all. I want to buy their alum pulleys, has anyone tried them yet? |

I just want to confirm what initial D told me the other day to see if I understood.
both inner and outer inserts should have the same possition in order to change the roll center correctly ? - whatever changes i make to the inserts on the rear shock tower side, i make to the oposite end. thanks |

To change roll center properly, both inserts at the end of the same pin must have the same orientation. And the inserts must be the same on the left and right sides. (For the rear upper inserts, the left and right inserts will be mirror images.) Hope this helps... or does it only confuse things more? |
