cyba888,
when you assemble your shocks make sure you pre-lube the o-rings because if you don't you may be damaging them as they pass thru the shock shafts thread. If you are doing this ,also try adding shims inside the bottom shock cap so that it presses more firmly against the o-ring ! - As stated in Daltonshop's Pyramid Serpent 710 Black Book. Quote:
"Furthermore, in order to do less rebuilding maintenance due to oil leaking (partly because there is only one o-ring in place), you could put 0.2-0.3mm shims (4x6mm such as Tamiya TA53586) inside the bottom cap to press the o-ring further (shim goes first then the purple o-ring) in its place and within the shaft when mounted."

Default 2nd Round Summer Series

Kent IC Club had the 2nd round of the summer series yesterday, I was having a great final after qualifying 2nd, I was driving away from the rest of the field; However, 20 minutes into the 30 minute final after a slight loss of concentration I had a fairly minor accident which broke the front shock shaft and put me out of the race. Up until then the car was awesome and my lead was great enough to hold onto 2nd place and only missed the win by 1 lap because the guy who was in 2nd at the time of my accident also went out with problems.

Best part is I've dropped my quickest lap time by a full second, I can honestly say the 710 is an exceptional car and very easy to drive, as well as being incredibly quick and it's doubly nice when you've got the only Serpent there, the rest are driving TM G4's and Schumacher R12's.

Congratulations Diesel Racer!

Next time you feel yourself losing concentration, come in for a pit stop and do a little stretching to knock off the cob-webs!!! You would've won the race if you had!!!

Unhappy 710 FAQ

Markp27, I found this on MyRCWorld. This was a question from Tino Hall to Arturo Carbonell. You might want to add this to your 710 FAQ.

how and went to adjust what?

TINO HALL (US) 11.12.03 at 15:09
Is there a rule of thumb that you use when
adjusting a car's behavour to suit a particular track. Eg the back breaks loose during a a turn

overall....
here's what I'd like to know
1. Adding rear toe does what to the car
2. Adding more rear camber does what
3. Adding front toe out does what
4. Adding front camber does what
5. What does droop do for the car
6. Stiffening the sway bars does what

Re:how and went to adjust what Respond
ARTURO CARBONELL (US) 11.12.03 at 17:43
#1. Gives the car more traction under acceleration & braking.
#2. Gives the car more side traction in the corner.
#3. Gives the car more steering but is less stable.
#4. Gives more traction in the corners.
#5. On the rear less droop the car is more stable under braking.
On the front less droop the car is more stable under acceleration.
On the rear more droop helps the car turn in but is less stable.
On the front more droop helps the car turn under acceleration
But is less stable.
#6. Stiffening the rear bar will give you more steering in the corner
Stiffening the front bar will give you less steering in the corner.
PS: Remember everything is a compromise and every adjustment
Interact with the other.

Congrats Diesel Racer!

Im very much agree with Nitrohead suggestion.
Me and Pyramid is an EP racer so we dont have problem with putting a good laptimes in 5min Heat.
But 45min A Main is different story.(It is very hard for me) You should had an "intensive-consultation" with Pyramid. He was doing stretching everytime his car refueling
When his car is coming, he always yel to his pitman, HOLD ON! HOLD ON ! then he will do ..one... two...one...two...

Well, honestly, not even in transit yet, I have placed the order weeks ago, but it is still in Hong Kong, and has not shipped yet. There seems to have been a problem with stock with the KO servo I ordered, I am paying $95 for shipping, so I dont mind waiting, otherwise, I will have to pay around $200-$250 for the servo here, or pay an extra +$20 or more for shipping later to get the servo. I am suspecting that they will ship today. I have been on leave for that last week so it has been dificult for me to get my mail at work to check up and rush them... I bought my equipment in stages, the body came first with my engine and a few things, but these wre all smal orders. My last one was ~$1065... They must send it NOW!!! I WANT MY 710

Don't know... Ask crashed_1. But I think it's turquoise colour?
