There are clearly weak areas in the car; most notably the front steering block, pivot balls, rear shock tower, and a-arm. Two trends are clear from reading this Forum:
1. The car has weak areas, and Serpent is working on continually improving the product.
2. Many observers have reported the same basic observation: The car has a wide sweet spot, and once you get the initial push dialed out, LAP TIMES ARE CONSISTENTLY ONE SECOND BETTER THAN OUR PREVIOUS BEST.
Thanks Serpent, for a great car, and and an attitude that "Improvement is job one".
That is all great. But does anyone know when the new parts will be out?

i will be racing the serpent 710. but why somany of you race the same bodies whats with the stratus and alfa romeo bodies, becuase i would think that the honda nsx gt from hpi would work better becuase it's lower and looks more areo dynamic???but if i can't get this body i will get this one but i don't know the make. i love the serpent cars but the only thing i think they could have done better was to somehow make the rear and the front shock towers lower so i could put on lower bodies.picture below!

I do have to say its a dream to drive this car but man my r40 would have come out of that with only a scratch. I may get it back for practice.

I am interested to know how your R40 is performing compared to your 710 on your track..............

I nearly bought an R40 to try it out. Changed my mind when I felt how heavy it was!

The r40 definately is a good car and can take a bitting with out much damage. I personally liked a lot how my 710 performed today It felt more responsive fast and stable than my r40, the difference is not that much but I felt more confortable with the 710. I think I said it before but here it is again, The main reason I bough this car is because HPI dont give near the half of the suppot the serpent guys give and to my this is a big thing , I do need someone to answer my questions.
Also one other thing I want to say is that the r40 developed a lot slop in a really little time and is really heavy compared with the 710.
So I think they both perform very similar but my r40 had a lot of extras and the 710 was out of the box

Could not have said it better.

But hey, what happened to us agreeing to say that the car is crap?
