I think several pages back (yeah, it was posted yesterday only)...MARK or someone else posted a picture that, if you had already broke your upper bumper mount....might as well CUT the bridge between the bumper and the downstop area and seperate them............in that way, when you have the crash, it won't damage the downstop area....

I think that is this guy doing....but of course, he cut the bumper plate first, not break it in purpose.

That is the reason I am back to the Serpent camp.........rarely to see any NTC3 can finish a 30 minutes plus main....at least not me.

Cool Friday Pics

Well guy I thought I'll share my 710 with the RCtech 710 family here.
The car has only been raced a couple of times so that’s why it’s looking very good in the pictures!!

NICE and CLEAN....let see how long that will last....and there is some THICK rear shock tower.....did you DOUBLE it up?

Also, what is that piece on top of the front top bumper plate? Some kind of CF reinforcing...? Good work.

And what is that on the front diff? Serpent ball diff or 3racings?

Pit, you polish the car too much !

Hey, are you using the solid front axle also? What engine is that? Looks a lot like a golden head Sirio engine which would mean modded by M Collari !

Yes-its true-but man oh man could you throw down a fast qualifier with one. I was usually fast enough to qualify in the middle of the 1/8th 4wd A-Main on a 200x100 track at the club races. But the Main youd soft peddle for half the race trying to save the rear tires!! ITs hard to go through traffic when your trying not to accelerate hard.

Yea Rookie,
The rear shock tower is double with a X-ray CF shock tower.
And yes, that is a extra piece of grafite brace on top of the front bumper.

Thanks

Master D,
your eyes aren't playing trick on you...........it is a M Collari Sirio!!

I haven’t tried the solid front axel yet but I made a cheap way to do so. That is an exhaust header gasket to keep in the pins if I want to try it on the fly.

Punisher, let us know how she screams ! Any Friday pics of the engine internals? Anyway, what pipe are you using with the M Collari mod?

Yes, that's what we do here too. But then when the front oneway lock set for the solid axle was available and cheap too (not to mention a more ellegant solution), I'm using that now.

Punisher, I took a closer look at the rear XRay CF tower. The holes for the mounting of the XRay shock tower does not line with the rear 710 CF shock tower. Also, the bottom edge of the XRay shock tower is a little longer making it not fit to the rear back plate of the 710. I guess you did some dremel job here and there?
