1/10th Sedan A main
We have a few rain drops as the warm up happens, could be a big issue for the drivers ...the drivers are being introduced, tension is really really high.

Burch starts out pulling in the lead, within 5 minutes Swauger pulled into the lead, and was running away with the race, pulled on the field.
Currently at the 10 minute mark, Fukuda, is in second, Burch in third, Salven in fourth, Swauger has traction rolled once. can he hold the pace?

Swauger stalled on the pit, Fukuda takes on the lead, followed by Burch, Swauger is running, and back on the track. The chase is on.

With 15 minutes mark, Salven pulls his pipe off in the back stretch, Burch is running third, Swauger is chasing Fukuda hard….. 13.1 second laps trying to reel in Fukuda.

With 16 minutes left Swauger pulls back into the lead, he has definitely horsepower. Pulling down the back stretch…… Swauger, Fukuda, Burch....

15 minutes left, Swauger has a body catch on a pit, Fukuda goes back into the lead....Swauger pulls under Fukuda in the carrousel.

Problems in the pit.. Swauger goes a lap down to Fukuda.. now Fukuda, Swauger, Burch..

Swauger smacking the walls looking to catch.

Swauger and Burch closing on Fukuda.

End of the race, Swauger (Mugen MTX3) took the win.. Fukuda (Mugen MTX3) in second, Burch (Serpent 710) in third..............

Mike Swauger was ballistic. and dominated the whole race.

Congrats. FMOLZER

"THE BIG QUESTION"

¿WHAT ENGINE / PIPE COMBINATION DID MIKE SWAUGER USED TO DOMINATE THE SEDAN CLASS IN SUCH A WAY??????, Of course without diminishing his obvious driving abilities, but with that field of drivers......man!!!!

fmolzer here, posting under ammdrews signature... We are just rolling out of Ft Myers for a looong trip back to The cold North... Minnesota. To put things stright, Andrew was doing the reporting, I feed him the info from the track and the monitor in the pits. The race was very entertaining to watch, even with the Mugens dominating. Swauger was definately dominating the race, Fukade and him were fighting for position for a while, once Swauger tapped Fukada right in front of the pit lane entrance and sent him to the boards, then he showed some incredible sportsmanship and pulled over to let Fukada claim the lead... He got it back on the next lap, but nevertheless it was a very classy move. For horsepower, Swauger was running a JP, and hed definately had a huge edge over every other car in the race. Rumors were flying in the pits that the Serpent team did not get their shipment of team engines for this show and judging by the difference in HP, it may have been true. Neither Salven or Burch seemed to have the power you normally expect to see.

SupermaxxRich 02-14-2004 05:29 PM

That would have been awesome to see! I wish I was there. Very classy move pulling over and letting Fukada retake the lead. I don't think you'd see that to often from other drivers.;)

Doug did.

They did not get the factory engines in time. Nova Rossi did not ship to KHM in time to make the race. They were using of- the-shelf engines. I am sure they were massaged but not the real KHM deal.

Either from someone close to Serpent or the Serpent drivers themselves!?

Maybe they want to save their fangs and venom for Brazil. ;)
